Disclaimer: I translate this information from the Nikkan Sports Webpage. It should not be considered official. Nikkan is known to make mistakes in their kensho counts from time to time, but they usually get around to correcting them. Also, Nikkan only posts the top 10 everyday, so I have no idea how many kensho someone not on that list has.

Harumafuji began his quest for Yokozuna promotion with a win over Aoiyama, picking up 17 envelopes in the process. The Yokozuna took care of business against Tochinoshin to earn a day one high 33 kensho.

Hakuho took home 23 kensho from a win over a spirited Shohozan. Harumafuji received only a single envelope after forcing Aran out. Kotoshogiku and Kisenosato picked up 5 envelopes apiece and Kakuryu 3. Kotooshu, Baruto, Myogiryu and Masunoyama earned 2 kensho each.

Hakuho threw down Kaisei to earn himself another 24 envelopes. Harumafuji picked up 4 against Shohozan. Homasho had the second highest total of the day, earning 8 from an upset win against Ozeki Kotoshogiku. Gagamaru took down a hobbled Baruto in a rematch after a mono-ii, taking home his first 5 envelopes of the basho.

Goeido's first win of the tournament, coming against Kotooshu, netted him 3 envelopes, while Kakuryu and Kisenosato collected 2 and 1 kensho respectively.

It was 25 envelopes for Hakuho today after his latest win, this one against Aoiyama. Harumafuji kept pace with the Yokozuna, moving to 5-0 after forcing out Tochinoshin, picking up 6 kensho in the process. Kisenosato also moved to 5-0 courtesy of a win over Gagamaru that netted him 4 envelopes.

Homasho, Kakuryu and Myogiryu took home 2 envelopes each, while the gyoji handed Aminishiki and Kaisei a single kensho apiece after their respective victories. Toyonoshima dumped Kotooshu with a sukuinage that looked rather painful for the Ozeki and netted Toyo two envelopes, allowing him to rejoin the lead group after a two day abscence.

The top 3 in the kensho standings are all tied for the Yusho lead at 6-0 (along with Kyokutenho and Takayasu). Hakuho picked up 28 envelopes after downing Gagamaru, while Harumafuji slapped down Homasho for 9. Kisenosato collected 7 from a win over Toyonoshima.

Kakuryu forced out winless Aoiyama to earn 6 kensho. Shohozan and Aminishiki took home 2 and 1 kensho respectively.

No changes in the Yusho race as we still have five rikishi zensho as of day 8, including the top 3 on the kensho leader board. Hakuho has collected 62 envelopes over the last two days, while Harumafuji and Kisenosato picked up 24 each.

Hakuho and Harumafuji remained zensho for another day, with the Yokozuna taking home 33 envelopes from a win over Aminishiki, while Harumafuji used a sotogake to take care of Toyonoshima and earn himself 14. Myogiryu continues to impress this basho, improving to 7-2 after a win over Ozeki Kakuryu that netted him 10 kensho.

Homasho surprised Kisenosato with a Hikkake, taking the 6 envelopes placed on the bout by sponsors. Goeido took 4 kensho and Chiyotairyu 1 from their respective Day 9 wins.

The 3-way tie for the Yusho lead was broken today when Kyokutenho lost a hard fought contest against Ozeki Kakuryu and Hakuho was slapped down by Tochiozan, all while Harumafuji took care of business against Takayasu. The win left Harumafuji as the sole remaining zensho rikishi and netted him 7 envelopes.

Tochiozan's surprise victory against the Yokozuna added 27 envelopes to his total, while Kakuryu grabbed 2. Kisenosato threw down Goeido for 9 kensho and Aminishiki slapped down Okinoumi for 1.

Myogiryu eliminated Kyokutenho from contention, earning 4 envelopes for his efforts. Homasho and Goeido picked up 2 kensho each.

Harumafuji defeated Kakuryu to take a step closer to a 2nd consecutive Yusho and Yokozuna promotion, earning 16 kensho along the way. Hakuho slapped down Kisenosato to stay a win behind and setup a huge showdown with Harumafuji on Senshuraku. The Yokozuna picked up 40 kensho.

Miyogiryu picked up his 10th win and four kensho after defeating Takekaze. Tochiozan collected 3 envelopes while Aminishiki added one to his total.

Harumafuji won an epic battle with Hakuho to finish zensho and assure himself of promotion to Yokozuna. Some 49 kensho banners paraded arounded the dohyo and the Ozeki looked pretty pleased to collect the big stack of envelopes after the hard fought contest.

Kakuryu defeated fellow Ozeki Kisenosato, picking up 23 kensho. Goeido and Aminishiki earned 5 envelopes apiece, while Homasho took home 3.
