Kaioshoryu Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Thank you for that (and the Terao bit!) :-D Great action today! You and everyone else are welcome. Now, I'm going down the road to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live. Tel Aviv- the city with no limits.. (Yesterday-saw Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). 4 days ago-Jefferson Starship.) Was Ian Anderson any good? He showed his age a lot last time I saw him in concert...
Kintamayama Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 (Yesterday-saw Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). 4 days ago-Jefferson Starship.) Was Ian Anderson any good? He showed his age a lot last time I saw him in concert... The show was great but he can't sing much anymore so there was another singer with him. but it's still Ian Anderson..
yorikiried by fate Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Peppers, Tull 2012, Starship. Sounds like my personal trip to hell... 2
Kintamayama Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) YBF, you'd be surprised.. The show I saw tonight was THE best i have ever seen and I've seen a few in my day. The backstage VIP pass helped no doubt.. Edited September 10, 2012 by Kintamayama
Gusoyama Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 What is the opinion in Japan/Japanese forums about Takanoyama's "Spin to win" techniques? I mean, that is really the ONLY way he can win against top level opponents, but I wonder if it is still seen as bad form by the Japanese.
Mukonoso Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 The crowd seemed to applaud Takanoyama regardless. I hope he does really well this basho though I'd like to see a bit more judo in his sumo.
Kintamayama Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 It's never regarded as "bad" when a small guy does tricks against bigger guys. On the contrary-the crowd loves an underdog. Unless you're an Ozeki and upwards. But really small guys never make it there (usually..)anyway so..
krindel Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 The crowd seemed to applaud Takanoyama regardless. I hope he does really well this basho though I'd like to see a bit more judo in his sumo. He is an oddity, and like all oddities he provides welcome diversity and entertainment, so people like him. I think he deserves it too, since the effort he puts in is spectacular sometimes. Of course, if by some miracle he were to begin rising up the banzuke, we'd be seeing much more of the "henkas are disrespectful" attitude from the crowd. Then again, Aran is HUGE and he's still there despite all the henkas...
Doitsuyama Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Is "bare with me" also a typo? If not, where is the place and time? You know, we'll do anything for the stuff we need.
Peeter Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 "kurvastav" is not the right word after first mistake made by Baruto - "vabandust" is "sorry". "Kurvastav" means "saddening". "Kurvastav" is the situation in which is our idol Baruto after 3 days!
Zenjimoto Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Is "bare with me" also a typo? If not, where is the place and time? You know, we'll do anything for the stuff we need. Speak for yourself! (Sigh...) Thank you for the video, as always! (Spooky TV program...)
Bugman Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I love Hakuho's balance, sometimes he'l have an opponent really pushing against him and he does a quick-as-lightening upper-body twist that makes them fall, no need to turn the match into an ugly brawl by using desperate Harite for this Yokozuna. (look out, Bugman's getting opinionated! you'l never see it again :-D)
Kintamayama Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Is "bare with me" also a typo? If not, where is the place and time? You know, we'll do anything for the stuff we need. Well, it started out as a typo but i now embrace it as some clever joke I supposedly cracked.

Gusoyama Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 not exactly thrilling stuff on day 3, eh? Oh well, they can't all be gems.
yorikiried by fate Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) Hey, I found one of the other two typos. Fujizauma sounds really posh, like a new brand of handbags. [edit for typo] [[setting up the deathtrap of self-reference]] Edited September 11, 2012 by yorikiried by fate

Bugman Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Just seen Takekaze make Toyohibiki wait 20 years for a tachi-ai, never seen that before, the gyoji was like, go!..........go!...........please go............GO!.......... and Takekaze just staring, very weird lol.
krindel Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Takekaze is living proof that you don't have to be gaijin to be devoid of any glimmer of hinkaku
Jakusotsu Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Takekaze Kisenosato is living proof that you don't have to be gaijin to be devoid of any glimmer of hinkaku fixed
Jakusotsu Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 "...as Aoiyama crumbles to the sea" Thank You (Punk rocker...)
