Kashunowaka Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 The guest columnist at SumoTalk pointed out that this is Hokutoriki's first back-to-back kachi-koshi in makuuchi. His makuuchi debut was two years ago, in Natsu 2002.

His makuuchi debut was two years ago, in Natsu 2002. must be one of the reasons why he was always ano of the "under the radar" rikishis for me....... i don't remember him being great or crap...... i am sure next basho he will attract more attention whatever results he will have the last days.

Yoavoshimaru Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 (edited) Tokitenku is just on fire. An excellent juryo match coming up for him on day 11. Edited May 18, 2004 by Yoavoshimaru
Kashunowaka Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Tokitenku is just on fire. An excellent juryo match coming up for him on day 11. I think it's more like a steady, warm glow radiating from Tokitenku. :-) But very impressive nonetheless.
