Profomisakari Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I would give him Gagamaru for day 14 Profomisakari
Andonishiki Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 last basho he had wakakoyu on day 14 why not again ? Wakakoyu
Andonishiki Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 gomen nasai... need to change my mind after having thought a bit... day 14: homasho
Chisaiyama Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm from Kansas, not Missouri but I grew up on the banks of the Missouri River so I suppose some of that infamous stubboness rubbed off on me. I'll stick withDay 13: Goeido Ok, to put it straight for stubbornness' sake: Myogiryu can't meet Goeido - they're both from Sakaigawa-beya. I get blind sided like that all the time dammit. Despite the similarity in shikona I use to try to insist on putting Kisenosato up against Wkanosato also. Thanks, for future reference I will put this one on a virtual sticky on my windows desktop.
Chisaiyama Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Well, now that I can truly and sincerely NOT pick Goeido, I too think it will be Day 14: Takekaze
Kotoviki Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) And it is Homasho day 14! Let me think about senshuraku! Hope I don't miss the deadline.... Edited July 20, 2012 by Kotoviki
Jakusotsu Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Day 14: 1 Gagamaru 3 Homasho 1 Kyokutenho 2 Shohozan 4 Takekaze Profomisakari (8-6) Andonishiki (7-7) Asashosakari (7-7) Jakusotsu (7-7) Oshirokita (6-8) kuroimori (6-7-1) Jejima (5-9) XiaoTan (4-10) Chisaiyama (3-11) Kotoviki (3-7-4) shimodahito (2-12) Anjoboshi (0-0-14) Holleshoryu (0-0-14) Yaochoyama (Kosho) Myogiryu's aites: 1. Kisenosato, 2. Harumafuji, 3. Kakuryu, 4. Tochiozan, 5. Hakuho, 6. Toyonoshima, 7. Aminishiki, 8. Baruto, 9. Aoiyama, 10. Tochinoshin, 11. Kotoshogiku, 12. Kotooshu, 13. Aran, 14. Homasho
Oshirokita Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I should probably wait for the results of day 13, but I'll guess Day 15 Takekaze
Jakusotsu Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 After 14 days in the books, the sansho are already decided (apart from Oshirokita who might grab an additional one). Shukun-sho (most consecutive correct picks, 3 minimum) Depending on Oshirokita's performance on senshuraku, we have either two or three players assembling the bare minimum length of streaks, which are: Asashosakari (days 7-9) Profomisakari (days 11-13) Oshirokita (days 13-?) Kanto-sho (shortest long streak of incorrect predictions, maximum 4) Three players kept their longest streaks of wrongness down to 2 while nobody else qualified. Andonishiki (days 3-4, 6-7, 9-10) Jakusotsu (days 6-7, 9-10, 14-?) Profomisakari (days 6-7, 9-10, 14-?) Gino-sho (3 pts for single correct picker, 2 pts for two correct pickers, 1 pt for three correct pickers) Although there are still points to earn on senshuraku, nobody can catch the leader who hit unique bullseyes on days 7 and 9. The only other points are shared by the three Homasho pickers. Asashosakari 6 Andonishiki 1 Kotoviki 1 Oshirokita 1
kuroimori Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 last but not least this basho Shohozan on senshuraku
Andonishiki Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 day 15: Shohozan thanks for gyojiing and all other admin !
Asashosakari Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I'm sure it's going to be Shohozan now after I picked him unsuccessfully three times, but why waste a shot at a yusho: Day 15 Takekaze. (7-8 after 7-2 would suck though. Wonder what injury I'm going to claim in my post-basho interview...)
shimodahito Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 is it too late to jump on the shohozan band wagon?
Jakusotsu Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Day 15: 1 Gagamaru 1 Kyokutenho 7 Shohozan 2 Takekaze Asashosakari (8-7) Profomisakari (8-7) Andonishiki (7-8) Jakusotsu (7-8) Oshirokita (7-8) kuroimori (6-8-1) Jejima (5-10) XiaoTan (4-11) Chisaiyama (3-12) Kotoviki (3-8-4) shimodahito (2-13) Anjoboshi (0-0-15) Holleshoryu (0-0-15) Yaochoyama (Kosho) Myogiryu's aites: 1. Kisenosato, 2. Harumafuji, 3. Kakuryu, 4. Tochiozan, 5. Hakuho, 6. Toyonoshima, 7. Aminishiki, 8. Baruto, 9. Aoiyama, 10. Tochinoshin, 11. Kotoshogiku, 12. Kotooshu, 13. Aran, 14. Homasho, 15. Takekaze I have no idea how the yusho kettei-sen is to be decided, so I'll just finalize the sansho: Shukun-sho (most consecutive correct picks, 3 minimum) Asashosakari (days 7-9) Profomisakari (days 11-13) Oshirokita (days 13-15) Kanto-sho (shortest long streak of incorrect predictions, maximum 4) Andonishiki (days 3-4, 6-7, 9-10) Jakusotsu (days 6-7, 9-10) Profomisakari (days 6-7, 9-10) Gino-sho (3 pts for single correct picker, 2 pts for two correct pickers, 1 pt for three correct pickers) Asashosakari 8 Oshirokita 3 Andonishiki 1 Kotoviki 1
Asashosakari Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 3. Tie-breakers to decide the Yusho.... We look at the result of the day 15 prediction, then day 14, and so on back to day 1. If still a tie, then the highest ranked on the banzuke can claim the Yusho.
Jakusotsu Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 3. Tie-breakers to decide the Yusho.... We look at the result of the day 15 prediction, then day 14, and so on back to day 1. If still a tie, then the highest ranked on the banzuke can claim the Yusho. Well, that's easy then. B-) Yusho winner is: Asashosakari (8-7) Asashosakari (8-7) Y1 Yaochoyama (Kosho) Andonishiki (7-8) S1 Jejima (5-10) Kuroimori (6-8-1) S2 Profomisakari (8-7) XiaoTan (4-11) K1 Jakusotsu (7-8) Oshirokita (7-8) M1 Holleshoryu (0-0-15) Anjoboshi (0-0-15) M2 Shimodahito (2-13) Chisaiyama (3-12) M3 Kotoviki (3-8-4)
