Tadanisakari Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 I hope none of you missed this torikumi. Hokutoriki dominated Asashoryu from the tachi-ai with strong deashi and a textbook oshidashi. Hokutoriki commited two false starts before a proper tachi-ai. The third attempt had Hokutoriki's fists down quickly, whereas Asashoryu lowered his fist slowly and very deliberately, completely dictating the timing of the tachi-ai. But it was no avail as the M1 ends the 35-bout winning streak! Give that man Ginosho, Shukunsho, Kantosho, and a brand new sportscar. (Taking a photo...)
