Asashosakari Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 They really oughta fill up Myogiryu's ozeki slate now, so back to Kisenosato for Day 7 for me, too.
Jakusotsu Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 This is becoming ridiculous. Day 8 - Kisenosato
Profomisakari Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Totally new pick: Day 8 Kisenosato Profomisakari
Andonishiki Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 why did i not stick to t-waka? coz i still believe in jejima (and bandwaggons....) grrrrrrrrr well, day 8 MUST be Kisenosato
Kotoviki Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I'm sticking with Kisenosato because one day it will happen
Anjoboshi Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 It is so hypnotizing, that I have to follow the Kisenosato pick!
kuroimori Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 This is absolutely gaga, Gagamaru on Nakabi >:-(
Yaochoyama Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Too paranoid to do anyhting else: Day 8 - Kisenosato Of course with 5 ozekis, it would be just like them to schedule an nakabi ozeki matchup featuring Kisenosato just to keep the hilarity rolling.
Yaochoyama Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Day 7 standings: Day 1 - 11 of 11 selected Harumafuji Day 2 - 9 of 11 selected Hakuho Day 3 - 0 of 11 selected Baruto (leader - Kisenosato with 10) Day 4 - 4 of 12 selected Kotooshu (Kisenosato 8) Day 5 - 0 of 11 selected Kyokutenho (Kisenosato 7) Day 6 - 2 of 12 selected Kotoshogiku (Kisenosato 7) Day 7 - 0 fo 12 selected Tochinowaka (Kisenosato 9) Asashosakari, Kuroimori and Chisaiyama remain in a 3-way tie with 3 wins. Yaochoyama (Y1E 2-5) Y1 Asashosakari (O1E 3-4) O1 Profomisakari (O1W 2-5) Kuroimori (S1W 3-4) S1 Andonishiki (S2E 2-4-1) S2 Jakusotsu (M1W 2-5) Oshirokita (M3E 0-0-7) K1 Jejima (K1E 2-3-2) Anjoboshi (M1E 2-1-4) M1 Holleshoryu (S1E 2-4-1) Chisaiyama (M2E 3-3-1) M2 Kotoviki (M2W 0-5-2) Gernobono (M3W Kosho) M3 Shimodahito (M4E 1-6) XiaoTan (2-5) M4 ScreechingOwl (0-0-7) Myogiryu's aites: 1. O1W Harumafuji, 2. YE Hakuho, 3. O1E Baruto, 4. O2W Kotooshu, 5. M3E Kyokutenho, 6. O3W Kotoshogiku, 7. M1W Tochinowaka
Yaochoyama Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Has any rikishi been picked more often in a single basho then Kisenosato this time (32 and counting)? It's a perfect first basho for the rikishi change so far, fitting the name somehow. I didn't have the time (or inclination) to get a definitive answer to this, but in a 15-minute scan the most likely candidate I could find was Kaio at the Aki 2010 basho. He received 53 incorrect picks starting on Day 2 before finally becoming aite on Day 14. Kisenosato is up to 41, so there's some chance that he could possible tie Kaio on Day 8 (13 active players, 1 non-Kise pick in so far). If you want to go by average number of incorrect picks per player, there were 17 participants at Aki 2010 and 13 this basho, so Kisenosato definitely has a chance to pass Kaio on that criteria if he can avoid being aite for another day.
Andonishiki Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 guess what.... we can keep on guessing, coz day 8 is out and it's not kise.... i take bets now for myo vs kise not happening at all this ba-show.. quote is 1,06 at current :-)) day 9: kisenosato
Jakusotsu Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Might as well rename this game as Guess Who's Not Kisenosato's Aite. Day 9 - Kisenosato
XiaoTan Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 No point switching horses to someone else who's not going to be selected as well - so Kisenosato (not?) on Day 9
kuroimori Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Back to Kise on Day 9 or will they they wait one more day...?
Profomisakari Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 A new idea: Perhaps day 9 Kisenosato? Profomisakari
Yaochoyama Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Might as well rename this game as Guess Who's Not Kisenosato's Aite. Indeed. Day 9 - Kisenosato
