Pandaazuma Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Welcome to Fantasy Metasumo. This is a new game which has come from a suggestion I made a few months ago over on Sumotalk. The original discussion thread is here: http://sumotalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=1426.0 This is the official thread in which you should make your entries for the sumo gaming year of 2012. The rules are very simple. You need to create a stable of sumo GAMERS. This stable will come from the final 2011 Sumo Game World Championship standings, which can be found here: http://www.strongoak.net/sb/sbsgwc.html You should choose one from each of the rank ranges below: 1: 1-5 2: 6-10 3: 11-20 4: 21-40 5: 41-80 6: 81-120 7: 120-200 8: 200+ You can choose yourself if you want to! There will be no transfers, so if one of your choices is absent, you'll just get zero for him/her that basho. Each gamer will win you masters points if they finish in the top ten in any of the Superbanzuke games in each basho. All masters points will add to your cumulative total. The winner is the person who has the most points at the end of the year. First prize will be a big kiss on the lips from me. The person who comes last gets to debate Fujisan about evolution. Enjoy! Simon

kuroimori Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Here is my line-up for this great new game! (which btw reminds me a bit about Inception: A game about gamers, playing some games about another game/sports...) 1. Norizo 2. Pandaazuma 3. Kaiowaka 4. Andoreasu 5. Kintamayama 6. Marimo 7. Sukubidubidu 8. Manekineko New game, new luck to all!
ronnie Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Is Marimo still playing? I was going to pick him/her, but having noted how far down the ratings that he/she has fallen and the low points totals still showing, I got to wondering if he/she has given up and is slowly sliding off the table. I couldn't see an entry for Marimo in CG for Kyushu or for GTB Hatsu, so I've gone with someone else.
Kameumi Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 (which btw reminds me a bit about Inception: A game about gamers, playing some games about another game/sports...) That is what "meta" means!
ronnie Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Here is irony............I replaced Marimo with Kameumi. Break a leg my man!

Pandaazuma Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Thanks to all entrants so far! 8 days to go. It's a year-long game so not much effort involved.
Itachi Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Here are my picks: 1.) Doitsuyama 2.) Pandaazuma 3.) Mysko 4.) Achiyama 5.) Oshirokita 6.) Oskanohana 7.) Holleshoryu 8.) Itachi I am flattered to be selected. I should warn you that I only play 3 of the qualifying games - Seki-toto, Benchsumo, and the Juryo Game. I will try to have a good basho in those games to contribute to your team! If some of the non-sekitori games were included, I could contribute more. I tend to do OK in the PTYW, Makushita, and Sandanme Games. My results in Banzuke Surfing are mixed though.
