Kotononami 86 Posted November 25, 2011 I just see that my score on the 13th day bench results page is not up. The squad is in the right order but the score is wrong. It is the 46th bout. Thanks in advance.
Vikanohara 171 Posted November 26, 2011 (edited) ...today a loss in Seki Quad due to a server being down.... I don't understand why after all those years you are playing now with all the messy days we had you still have not realized that in such a case you can send your picks to Golynohana by PM or by mail. And don't argue that you didn't know which Rikishi you had already picked. As already highly recommended in the past in this forum just save the daily confirmation mail and then you know which alternatives you still have. So if you failed it is simply your fault. Don't put the blame on the server... Ganzohnesushi I didn't even think of that option, as thanks to a very busy second part of the week I could only start predicting by 5 am in the morning, one hour before deadline. First 30 minutes were completely lost in trying to figure out what was actually happening. Next 15 minutes went to making sure I could at least enter a decent lineup in Sumo Game. And by then I got so tired I couldn't think sharply enough anymore. Somehow I thought everyone was going to be given a no-score on day 13, that's why I didn't bother. And perhaps you're referring to what happened last basho (as I can read something about picks having been posted on Google Docs). Then mind that I didn't compete as I was on holiday. But thanks for your objective conclusion. I will no longer complain about any problem whatsoever. Instead, I will just be spanking myself. Oh well, I'm not sure whether in 2012 I'll still be playing daily games anyway. I'll be having a new job soon. And too often during the final 5 days of a basho I feel kind of forced to continue predicting than that I'm having fun doing it. Perhaps I should draw my conclusions from that. Umigame 82 Posted November 26, 2011 Thanks! That kept my chance for kachikoshi alive (I am not worthy...) Please remind your better half to pick both divisions next time, not just makuuchi. ;-) Why would I do that? She's about to overtake me on the banzuke! I'll take a win any way I can get it. yorikiried by fate 2,040 Posted November 26, 2011 Well, it's a game of skill at many levels, it seems (making good picks, using dropboxes properly, living in a favourable timezone etc.). You are living in a favorable timezone if you are living in Germany. The only necessary skill is being able to check the news and correct picks prior to 7 a.m. (or 8 a.m. from May to September). So you're the early bird, I can use drop-down lists (as is the correct term; my bad). (I am not worthy...)
Vikanohara 171 Posted November 27, 2011 The basho ended poorly, with frustrations on days 12 & 13 and total disappointment on senshuraku. And so it ended a bit less good than what could have been, though I shouldn't complain I guess. After all, it's all my own fault. (Sigh...) 9-6 in Sumo Game (would have been 10-5, so much nicer) 9-5-1 in Seki-Quad (might have been 10-5, which also would have looked a lot better) 8-7 in ISP, which is actually a rather bad record, coming from 7-2 59/90 in FAWL (1/6 on the final day ruined quite a lot) And luckily there was also this : 62.43 in Odd Sumo, which means (Sign of approval...)
