Posted some comments elsewhere on visiting Kasugano but wondered which all of you would be tempted to visit if you had the chance AND WHY?????

Don't have the option to post all so please use 'other' - apologies in advance for spelling errors relating to phonetic Japanese.

For me - at this moment in time - Oitekaze - cos it's only 20 mins or so away and I regularly see their rikishi on the train.

Takadagawa of course to visit my adopted Rikishi Maenoyu.

Next choice Takasago

Who? - Not listed on their rikishi directory - very new?

19yo Mongolian - Gankhugag or Ganhyag Naranbat. not sure of the spelling of his first name. Buba tells us Ganhyag and since hes Mongolian I guess he would know better than most

You have got it almost right except one character, Gankhuyag. Have Y and G similar spelling in japanese?

I voted Oitekaze, because I would see four rikishi that I like all at once: Hayateumi, Hamanishiki, Kokkai and Daishoma!

I really envy you, Adachinoryu.

I said Sadogatake as well, simply because they seem to have one of the best current crops of young rikishi (and older guys who finally seem to be hitting their stride in Makushita), and I'd like to get a chance to see them up close and personal before they ascend the ranks. Also, would like to see how Kotonowaka's presence effects things, since the heir apparrent is still active.

What is so amazing with Sadogatake is that it seems to have one way or another had new interesting talent in the making pretty much since Sadogatake-oyakata took it over in 1974, and for many other top stables, 30 years have been a very long time indeed. The fact that Kotooshu (as banzuke topics pointed out) is the 20th sekitori in those 30 years and a couple more could come in even the coming basho, should be one indication of the regularity of Sadogatake-beya. So it would be interesting to see the atmosphere, how the old rikishi (including the heir Kotonowaka) work (or not) with the young and how help oyakatas such as ex-Kotoinadzuma and ex-Kotonishiki work together with (or not) the old man. :-D

I'd like to visit Tomozuna naturally but Sadogatake would be very good place to get a good view on keiko. It is big, it has wide scale of talent and all ranks are well represented. Should be lot of keiko action even when some rikishi are injured.

I voted for Naruto beya, 'cause I'd be interested to see how Hagiwara is doing against Wakanosato and Takanowaka. Seeing how Takanoyama does there would also be interesting, since it seems he's been improving a lot lately. And of course, if Shiro
