After all the Intai buzz of today, I am more and more confused about Kadooshu's matchup with Kaiintai today already... hmmmmmm....

Anyway, thought about Okinoumi as Day 11 opponent for a second, but then it should be

Kotooshuu on Day 11!

Awww ... im too late for day 12! I guess I can be sure that this time its going to be Kotooshu. Hrmpf. Well, better luck for tomorrow. xD

Did you guess this, or did you see the released schedule at the time of your posting? (It was there seven minutes later when I checked, but...)

Scoring Anjoboshi as an absence for now... It is indeed Osh at last, guessed correctly by the two yusho leaders and a struggling shin-ozeki.

Day 12 picks: Harumafuji 7, Kotooshu 3, Aminishiki 3, no pick 1

Standings after 12 days:

Yaochoyama (6-5-1) Y1

Profomisakari (4-8) O1 Asashosakari (3-9)

Jakusotsu (2-10) S1 Gernobono (3-6-3)

Oshirokita (3-9) K1 Chisaiyama (4-8)

Kofuji (kosho) M1 Holleshoryu (kosho)

Andonishiki (2-10) M2 Kotoviki (1-9-2)

Jejima (1-11) M3 XiaoTan (3-9)

Hidariashiyama (3-8-1) M4 Kuroimori (6-6)

Maguroyama (kosho) M5 Shimodahito (kosho)

Kameumi (kosho) M6 Anjoboshi (1-9-2)

I'm a bit surprised they're giving away the Giku-Kaku matchup already, thought for sure it would be saved for senshuraku now.

No, I guessed it and it wasnt online then. But please score it as an absence because I was late. I only posted it to show the tragedy of it!

I'm asking because I recently whined my way to exactly such a win was graciously excused for missing the deadline by a couple of minutes by the players at large, so I'm the last who'd be opposed to crediting you for that prediction.

No, the absence is okay! After all I did miss the deadline. And besides, someone who picks Kotooshu for half of the days probably deserves that anyway! :D

Okinoumi for Day 13 for me! (this time an early entry so I don't miss the deadline again ...)

I only posted it to show the tragedy of it!

I forgot to add this to the

I knew I should have stuck with Kotooshu! How stupid was I to jump off my horse! Let me think a bit more before I decide.... the next stupid pick

Next in line yes, but in theory, at least, they're are supposed to matching people with like records as well. I mean if you are in the Sanyaku you are supposed to face all the rest of the Sanyaku regardless of their records but when it comes to filling in the remaining slots I have seen them dip quite low. At M4 it's not a dip at all just a skip over the 3s, I say:

Day 13: Okinoumi

I'll go with Okinoumi as well.

btw way had a chance to talk to him in the parking lot last night after sumo. He was so disappointed not to get any kensho for his fusensho but he said he was happy to get the win!! :-) We joked with him about how "tired" he must be after his day of sumo!! :-)

Yes, probably the surprise of the basho, at least from a GKA perspective. Some might claim the kyokai felt it necessary since they needed to know how many yaocho-inclined riksihi to feed Kotoshogiku the last 3 days to ensure we wouldn't have to live our lives without a Japanese ozeki. But of course we all know that there is no longer any yaocho in sumo :-)

Well I reckon they no longer have to fret over it after his upset of Hakuho.

Can't imagine that Kotoshogiku will luck into Kyokutenho as his opponent so I'm pencilling in Okinoumi there, but I suspect Kise's performance isn't interesting enough to deviate from the straight-up schedule, so...

Day 13 Aminishiki

(Hey, if Ami was good enough at 1-8 for an 8-1 Baruto... Now watch them do something completely different, of course.)
