Asashosakari Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 As often happens, I'm marching to the beat of a different drummer. I know it's a little early for the Sekis to start fighting each other but there are 3 of them and that should shuffle the mix up a bit from the usual, so: I'm ahead of you, my failed Day 4 pick was based on a Kotoshogiku-Kakuryu matchup that didn't materialize...
kuroimori Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I'll opt for the struggling oldzeki before he will waive the white flag layer this week. Kaio on Day 5! (Once again disappointment is just a few hours away...)

Jakusotsu Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Gah, wrong Sekiwake... Time to keep stubborn behind: Day 6 - Kotooshu
XiaoTan Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Standings after/before day 5 which brings us the Sekiwake mash-up. Chisaiyama has two sole right picks, anyone else wants a shot at the Gino-sho, they'll better start soon. Yaochoyama (Y1E 2-2-1) Y1 Profomisakari (O1W 2-3) O1 Asashosakari (S1E 1-4) Jakusotsu (S1W 1-4) S1 Gernobono (S2E 1-2-2) Oshirokita (M3E 1-4) K1 Chisaiyama (M4W 3-2) Kofuji (M1E Kosho) M1 Holleshoryu (M1W Kosho) Andonishiki (M2E 1-4) M2 Kotoviki (M2W 1-2-2) Jejima (K1E 1-4) M3 XiaoTan (M3W 1-4) Hidariashiyama (M4E 2-3) M4 Kuroimori (K1W 2-3) Maguroyama (M5E Kosho) M5 Shimodahito (M5W Kosho) Kameumi (M6E Kosho) M6 Anjoboshi (M6W 1-3-1) Day 1: ME3 Wakakkoyu, Day 2: ME2 Kyokutenho, Day 3: KE Goeido, Day 4: KW Tochinoshin, Day 5: SE Kotoshogiku Jejima Day 6 pick (if not otherwise heard from) - still Aminishiki
XiaoTan Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I'll Kaio my way right through the end - I might get at least two right!
Chisaiyama Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I'll join with Jejima on this one: Day 6: Aminishiki
Anjoboshi Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) Day 6: Ah, what happened to the world? Jakusotsu stopped to be stubborn and I still have no clue how to play this game. Therefore I'll stick to my pick of yesterday and take Kotooshu again. After all at least someone has to be stubborn ... Edited July 13, 2011 by Anjoboshi
Yaochoyama Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Chisaiyama's hot hand almost makes me want to pick Aminishiki, but for now: Day 6 - Kaio
Asashosakari Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Rolling dice between Baruto, Kakuryu or Yoshikaze...should I be afraid that these three have only one vote combined so far? Well, let's hope they put up another sekiwake-sekiwake match, but that it'll be Giku-Kakuryu, not Kise-Kakuryu. Therefore: Day 6 Yoshikaze (again, kinda)
Jakusotsu Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 To make a complete fool of myself I'd say neither Kotooshu nor Kakuryu but Day 7 - Yoshikaze
XiaoTan Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Standings after/before day 6 - Kisenosato meets the old warrior Kaio. Yaochoyama (Y1E 3-2-1) Y1 Profomisakari (O1W 2-4) O1 Asashosakari (S1E 1-5) Jakusotsu (S1W 1-5) S1 Gernobono (S2E 1-3-2) Oshirokita (M3E 1-5) K1 Chisaiyama (M4W 3-3) Kofuji (M1E Kosho) M1 Holleshoryu (M1W Kosho) Andonishiki (M2E 1-5) M2 Kotoviki (M2W 1-3-2) Jejima (K1E 1-5) M3 XiaoTan (M3W 2-4) Hidariashiyama (M4E 2-4) M4 Kuroimori (K1W 3-3) Maguroyama (M5E Kosho) M5 Shimodahito (M5W Kosho) Kameumi (M6E Kosho) M6 Anjoboshi (M6W 1-4-1) Day 1: ME3 Wakakkoyu, Day 2: ME2 Kyokutenho, Day 3: KE Goeido, Day 4: KW Tochinoshin, Day 5: SE Kotoshogiku, O2E: Kaio Jejima Day 7 pick (if not otherwise heard from) - still Aminishiki
XiaoTan Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 What else is new - let's hope for exciting weekend matches: Kotooshu on Day 7!
Kotoviki Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 I'll stick with Kotooshu! I should have just had a kosho since I missed the first two days. I'm doing awful!
