Yaocho rikishi: the comic!

As they did for the gambling scandal, Yomiuri Shinbun has come out with a comic explaining the latest yaocho scandal.

(Top Right) Woman: It's become a problem since it became known that some of the rikishi were contacting each other with cell phones and planning things before their match.

(Top Middle) Cell Phone 1: Hit me hard at the start, and let's just go with the flow.

Cell Phone 2: Understand! So I'll go down with the flow!

(Top Left) Girl: Eh!? They weren't fighing all out? (I'm so disappointed...)

(Bottom Right) Boy: I wonder why they did such a thing?

Man: We don't know the details just yet...

(Bottom Middle) Speaker: There are people who believe that the difference between Juryo and Makushita rikishi is too big, and that the problem stems from people thinking "I must do anything to avoid falling back to Makushita!"

Sekitori Picture: Gets over 1,000,000 yen per month

Lower Rikishi Picture: Gets about 150,000 yen at each of the six hon basho.

(Bottom Left) Woman: The March Basho has been cancelled, and other rikishi are being questioned.

Boy: I hope they'll come back and show us the "seiseidodo" fighting spirit!

Fortunately it doesn't make a huge difference regardless of which way you read it...
