Hidariashiyama Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Day 10 Hakuho just to be different and I'm soaring down the banzuke...
Chisaiyama Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Day 12-15 the Yokozuna has to fight the 4 Ozekis so that only leaves him Day 10 or 11 for the 2 Sekiwake's and since Kotoshogiku has got the 7-1 record I think they will give him the first shot on Day 10 therefore I will beat this dead horse one more time and go with Day 10: Baruto
Andonishiki Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Day 10 - Baruto I guess my appraisal of the upcoming European Yokozuna was a bit too much for the torikumi makers y'day, but now it's time for Dark Blue, Black & White ! Three Lions on the Mawashi - never stop believing
Asashosakari Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 but now it's time for Dark Blue, Black & White ! Three Lions on the Mawashi - never stop believing Tsuna's coming home?
Kofuji Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) Day 10 brought another episode of the big bandwagon for the big Estonian. Again the torikumi makers toyed with us and went with O1E Kaio. Jejima was the only one to correctly concur and thereby will jump into a gino-sho tie with Kofuji who forgot to enter his pick of Baruto last night. By Kofuji's analysis it was a coin toss between for Baruto and Kaio. Asashosakari retains his lead and is invited to make an early pick. Kofuji will likely make an early pick so he doesn't forget again. [Edit: There were also 3 votes for the Yokozuna, so not a wide range of selections for Day 10.] Yaochoyama (Y1E 5-5) Y1 O1 Profomisakari (O1W 5-5) Jakusotsu (S1E 5-5) S1 Gernobono (S1W 4-6) Kotoviki (S2E 3-7) S2 Hidariashiyama (S2W 1-9) Asashosakari (S3E 7-3) S3 Oshirokita (K1E 3-7) K1 XiaoTan (K1W 2-8) Kuroimori (M1E 4-6) M1 Chisaiyama (M1W 2-8) Jejima (M2E 4-6) M2 Holleshoryu (M2W 4-6) Maguroyama (M3E 2-8) M3 Andonishiki (M3W 4-6) Kofuji (M4E 6-3-1) M4 Kameumi (M4W 1-5-4) Shimodahito (M5E 2-8) M5 Mae-zumo Anjoboshi (mz 5-5) Kisenosato's aites: 1. O1E Kaio Kameumi's defaults: Day 11 - Hakuho Day 12 - Baruto Day 13 - Harumafuji Day 14 - Kotooshu Day 15 - Wakanosato Edited January 17, 2011 by Kofuji
Asashosakari Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 FWIW, my analysis spit out odds of about 2/3 for Bart and the rest on Kaio and Hakuho, with the yokozuna slightly favoured. Kudos to Jejima! The real stunner though is that there's no ozeki matchup on Day 10, which just invalidated every single scenario I've drawn up for the remaining days...
Jejima Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) Day 11 - yes time for the Yokozuna, Hakuho for me too. Video Edited January 17, 2011 by Jejima
Asashosakari Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Hoping for no further upheaval... Day 11 Hakuho.
Profomisakari Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Day 11 the Yokozuna Hakuho Profomisakari
Oshirokita Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 is the obvious still obvious? Day 11 Hakuho
Kotoviki Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I will go with Hakuho as well since there is no other day for Kisenosato to fight him!!!
Jakusotsu Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Well, at least this one should be easy: Day 11 - Hakuho
Maguroyama Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Day 11 - Hakuho, obviously I'm more puzzled by Harumafuji's schedule than Kise's. In my mind, they only had days 9-11 to pair him with the other three ozeki, as they all face each other and the yokozuna on days 13-15. Day 12 it's of course Hakuho for Haruma. But now they match him with Goeido on day 10...? So where does that leave room for either Harumafuji-Kaio or Harumafuji-Kotooshu? I'm sure I'm missing something vital here, but what?

Unless they're gonna change the usual schedule for Hakuho, Harumafuji will have to skip either Kaio or Kotooshu. Hmm, perhaps Hakuho will have Day 11 - Harumafuji and Day 12 - Kisenosato? Anybody brave enough to bet on it?
Andonishiki Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 bakana torikumi o tsukutteiru hito ! they don't like BRUTUS, the baltic ROCK wateffa... DAY 11 Hakuho

Anybody brave enough to bet on it? I've burned some more brain cells over this problem, and I can't find any solution. Unless Maguroyama and me are really missing something vital here, it looks like there will be one Ozeki-matchup skipped this time. Have they really painted themselves into a corner? (Whatever above, it is funny...)
Jakusotsu Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Ok, I tortured my poor brain a little bit more, and it thinks it can be done! Now I'm going to make a complete fool of myself and change my pick to Day 11 - Baruto (cheers to Maguroyama for pointing it out)
