Difficult decision - I'd say it's not going to be Homasho, so I'll stick with Homasho for Day 14.

the argument to pair Okinoumi with Goeido makes a lot of sense to me....

Day 14 - Homasho

but nothing can surprise me anymore in this basho.

after y`days Baruto disgrace, I sincerely consider to drop my "virtual" Estonian sumo-online game nationality and switch to Barbados.

If soo many fights are rigged (just my subjective impression) and we`re getting even closer to a WWF wrestling theater,

then why do we bother to spend time on sumogames ? ;-)

Somehow my original plan for 2011 to see all three Tokyo bashos and also travel to Osaka, Nagoya and Kyushu looks not that attractive to me anymore. Better spend all the money for the Red Cross, Greenpeace or on H&B ??

someone cheer me up prease !

....Tokyo 3:43am after another gameday desaster and lack of sleep...

I am not joining the band waggon this time - even if this might mean laying myself on the railroad tracks in front of this huge Homasho-Express, but hell this game makes you turn suicidal anyway so I take

Goeido on Day 14!

I'll take Homasho as well!! Still depressed over my make-koshi! I look just like Toyonoshima.. from yusho (ketteisen) to make-koshi ;-)

I think the most likely aite for Day 14 is Homasho. But let's look at this from a broader perspective:

1. With my KK already in hand, hopefully I've gained a bit of redemption from last basho's "chokozuna" debacle

2. I have the luxury of not having to worry about moving up the banzuke where every extra win would count

3. By selecting Homasho and hitting the Add Reply post, Asashosakari wins the yusho right then and there. While he's had a great basho, we don't want to make it quite that easy for him, now do we?

While I don't see this is too likely, I'm hoping the sweet and kind torikumi makers might find it in their hearts to forget about Okinoumi-Goeido and move Oki right up to face a sekiwake. No, not Kisenosato, I'm thinking maybe Kotoshogiku. Therefore:

Day 14 - Homasho looks the obvious pick, but Okinoumi has a lot going for him too. Which to pick, which to pick....?

Okay, Okinoumi!

Our leader's hopes came true rather than his bandwagon pick. I thought Homasho was a worthy opponent for day 14, but there is ample precedent for dipping down deep to give a low maegashira yusho contender a tough opponent. Profomisakari and Jejima correctly picked M13E Okinoumi as Kisenosato's day 14 aite to gain their kachi-koshis and move into a second place tie behind our yusho winner, Asashosakari. Omedeto! And please start off the day 15 bandwagon.

I told everyone it's not going to be Homasho - you should just have believed me...

Harumafuji on day 15, no reason not to, yes?
