Juryo.com has the answer to your question here.
Jesinofuji Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 After this year, Asashoryu's name will be on that page with Most consecutive basho with 12+ wins with 8. Most years with the most wins with 2, and most wins in 6 consecutive basho with who knows how many... he is 55 in 4 basho so he could be high on this list after 2 more basho, and could even top it at years end!
shimodahito Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 good day all, asashosakari...THANKS....that's a fantastic web site. the reason i asked the question was because i read that in this tournament a lower division rikishi had set the record for most consecutive make-koshi bashos. -shimodahito
Yoavoshimaru Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 How could a lower-division rikishi break this record? After at most a couple dozen consecutive kachi-koshi basho he would be a sekitori, no?
Yubiquitoyama Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 How could a lower-division rikishi break this record? After at most a couple dozen consecutive kachi-koshi basho he would be a sekitori, no? Ah, but he never did get those... Just make-koshis :-S
Asashosakari Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 I feel those who already have all the fans tend to get more support for free. No more of that I say!Go Kasuganishiki! Harunoyama for Ozeki! Tamarikido, keep on fighting! Kotokanyu - Juryo is close again! Gojoro - Your fans will never forget you! Sumanofuji - Your time is now! Kobo, Kobo, Kobo!!! (Sign of approval) :-)
Kintamayama Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 (edited) Juryo.com has the answer to your question here. It is a truly great site-but keep in mind it hasn't been updated for a while now- since July 2003, I believe. Edited April 6, 2004 by Kintamayama
Yoavoshimaru Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Is that about the time Hoshifransu-zeki left this forum?
Doitsuyama Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 juryo.com has nothing to with Hoshifransu. This is the site from Rowan "Wanchanyama" Klein.
