Heh. I suspected they're a bit more afraid of Toyonoshima's capabilities than the usual low maegashira streakers, so I had Toyonoshima against Kaio in my guess, but of course Baruto makes more sense, at least if you assume that Kaio isn't really considered a yusho threat by the schedule makers, unlike Bart and a no-high-ranking-opponents Toyo would be. But they really did have to start pairing Toyo with the other 9-1'ers, or the potential schedule disruption for the remaining three days would have been (too) severe.

Kotooshu may get a lucky ride here, in case it's his matchups with Hakuho and the other ozeki that get thrown out in favour of moving up Toyo against Hak and (possibly) Kaio...

On Day 12 one of two bandwagos works as Kisenosato gets M1W Kotoshogiku. Aminishiki got almost as many votes with two outliers for Yoshikaze and Toyonoshima. Asahosakari and Oshirokita join the lead group with Kotoviki, Hidaryiashiyama and XiaoTan, yesterday's leaders who backed the wrong horse. If you've achieved your kachi-koshi, you are invited to pick early.

Hrmph...Kise's KK, which should mean it's open season for him torikumi-wise, but other than Toyonoshima (who I feel is unlikely) there's really no worthwhile opponent for him outside the joi yet.

So, I'll stick with the obvious choice: Aminishiki for Day 13, please.

Unless they cancel one of the ozeki vs ozeki bouts, then there is no valid aite for Toyonoshima in sanyaku, so give him Kisenosato for day 13!
