kuroimori Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Well, it was a nice ride up to Day 5, now it's getting bumpy again. I also think they'll finish the sanyaku ranks with just a little twist and it will be Kakuryu on Day 7. And then the madness begins in week 2...
XiaoTan Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 (edited) I'll work my way down the banzuke again (I am sure this time it's wrong): Kakuryu for Day 7 please Edited November 18, 2010 by XiaoTan
Jakusotsu Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Still not sure about that, but I like company: Day 7 - Kakuryu
Andonishiki Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Day 7 - Kakuryu given current form of both wrestlers, this should be a highlight of the basho. GO KIESEL
Profomisakari Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Then give him Kakuryu please for day 7! Profomisakari
Kameumi Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 You cant brake your way up a slope.. Day 7 - Aran
Chisaiyama Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 The odds are Takanohana has an english speaking aide reading this forum to try our patience but what the heck I'll go along for the ride once more: Day 7: Kakuryu
Oshirokita Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I am tempted to leave the bandwagon, but not just yet: Day 7 Kakuryu
Kofuji Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 On Day 7, Kisenosato gets bandwagon pick a day late, the West Sekiwake, Kakuryu. Lots of happy GTA players today! Aran got one vote, but everyone else is on the bandwagon who voted. Those who picked early for day 7 pick early again for Day 8. Yaochoyama (Y1E 3-4) Y1 O1 Profomisakari (O1W 4-3) Jakusotsu (S1E 5-2) S1 Gernobono (S1W 4-3) Maguroyama (S2E 3-4) S2 Jejima (S2W 5-2) Kotoviki (K1E 6-1) K1 Hidariashiyama (K1W 6-1) Asashosakari (M1E 5-2) M1 Holleshoryu (M1W 3-4) Kuroimori (M2E 6-1) M2 Chisaiyama (M2W 5-2) Oshirokita (M3E 4-1-2) M3 XiaoTan (M3W 6-1) Kofuji (M4E 6-1) M4 Kameumi (M4W 2-4-1) Andonishiki (M5E 5-2) M5 Mae-zumo Shimodahito (mz 3-3-1) Kisenosato's aites: 1. O1W Baruto, 2. Y1E Hakuho, 3. O2E Harumafuji, 4. O2W Kaio, 5. O1E Kotooshu 6. S1E Tochiozan 7. S1W Kakuryu
Kofuji Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Day 8 is the trickiest day of the basho with no clear favourite spot for Kisenosato to face. Most other options are better for later. Since Yoshikaze is doing well, he may need a better aite, so I'll stick with my pre-basho prediction and go with: Day 8 - Yoshikaze
Andonishiki Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 If my calculations are correct, Kisel and T-shin could be both 3:3 after Day 6, so the long nosed Georgian could be a good aite for THE KID, who became a HERO on Day 2 Day 8 - Tochinoshin
Oshirokita Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Pretty sure he will next face a rikishi that begins or ends with "A" so, Day 8 Asasekiryu
XiaoTan Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 What the heck - moving down the banzuke has served me well: Aran on Day 8.
Jakusotsu Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Going out on the same limb as Bob: Day 8 - Yoshikaze
kuroimori Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Now that Kise shows strength and confidence in his sumo there is no need to create an easy schedule for him, they can stick to the routine pattern and give him Tochnoshin on Day 8.
