On Day 8, Kisenosato gets his first maegashira aite, M2W Asasekiryu. Obviously the torikumi makers ran out of funds for selecting my pre-basho picks. Aran and Tochinoshin formed mini-bandwagons, Only four of us figured he'd be out of the sanyaku for a day. Those who picked early for day 8 pick early again for Day 9, as neither of our two Asasekiryu pickers were close enough to join the leaders.

Not sure whether to join the Aran bandwagon that is likely to form today or go with the likelyhood that Kisenosato will face Aran either later or never due to the latters poor record this basho. I'm going to stick with my pre-basho pick of:

Kazooks! Got all my Sanyaku right for Nakabi, so it had to be a Maegashira for Kise, but it wasn't Yoshi... (I am not worthy...)

Next in line would be Kotoshogiku, but I think they'll save that for later, so I say

I didn't, beyond correctly predicting that Aran goes against Hakuho so I at least avoided that pitfall but not the Tochinoshin one. Darn. Let's try again...my totally sensible torikumi prediction for Day 9 says that Kise will have to be facing...Aran? Oh okay now.
