Kaikitsune Makoto Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 (edited) On day 15 Asanowaka did matta against Futeno and gave an annoyed push after the matta. The second time he slapped him after realizing it was matta again. Futeno kept his cool well despite the little idiot acting like child in self control pit. For the third time the bout started and Futeno got rid of the little angry one and didn't give back any of that totally bizarre aggressions after matta but just ousted him normally. Nice self-discipline. I would have wanted to see Takatoriki against Asanowaka in that bout or Asashoryu! The Mongolian would have pushed Asanowaka to shitaku-beya if he did such acts on him. Why do I have a feeling Shoryu has given some extra pushes to Asanowaka in keiko back in time when they actually possibly did any keiko against each other? In any case nice self discipline from Futeno against the angry little salt. Asanowaka was ordered to come back to bow again heh..just like a child. http://www.banzuke.com/~movies/haru2004/da...awaka_futeno.rm Edited March 30, 2004 by Kaikitsune Makoto
sekihiryu Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I noticed Asanowakas little tantrum too, it was rather childish and pathetic and he should be censured by someone for that. Either that or give him a red nose to complete his clown act. Anyway Asano who? the chump will be dropped to Juryo like a hot potato never to return (Laughing...)
Naganoyama Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Wow, yes! It looks like there might be bad blood between those two. Didn't Adachi-san say that Asanowaka was stand-offish in keiko. Seems like he might be an unpopular little g (Censored) t
Asashosakari Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 I noticed Asanowakas little tantrum too, it was rather childish and pathetic and he should be censured by someone for that. Either that or give him a red nose to complete his clown act.Anyway Asano who? the chump will be dropped to Juryo like a hot potato never to return :-P I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment, but I don't think we'll get rid of Asanowaka quite so easily. :-) He'll probably yo-yo between Makuuchi and Juryo a couple times more before his career winds down... My pet theory for why Asanowaka does so well in Juryo as opposed to Makuuchi (other than the difference in skills in each division) is that rikishi turnover in Juryo is much higher than in the top division, so each Juryo basho Asanowaka can count on a handful of rikishi who weren't exposed to his antics yet. :-) Seems to be good enough to go 9-6 or better regularly when he's down there...
Mark Buckton Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 On day 15 Asanowaka did matta against Futeno and gave an annoyed push after the matta. The second time he slapped him after realizing it was matta again. My memory may be going but I though it was one matta each? (Laughing...) No????
ilovesumo Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 (edited) I know why I don't like him ;-) and...I don't think he's very intel..... You know what I mean, but I'm not able to write it down (Laughing...) . There is a nice german word ... we would call him "Hitzkopf"= :-) + (Bleh!)+ (In a bad mood...) Guest Vincentoryu Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Asanowaka was ordered to come back to bow again heh..just like a child. Nice move from the gyoji. IMO Asanowaka got what he deserved!
Kaikitsune Makoto Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 My memory may be going but I though it was one matta each? No???? Yes you remember right. Futeno did commit the first matta. Still, Asanowaka was the perpretator in that too with his extra push. Only now after watching it once more I noticed that Asanowaka also gave a bitchy slap when he was already out heh. Futeno really kept calm and composed. Must have annoyed Asa with his calmess even more.. There was a comment on ML that Asanowaka has short-tempered personality so I guess this was a manifestation of that short temper.
Takemi Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 Shame on you asanowaka (Sign of disapproval) But I can
Yoavoshimaru Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Maybe he was upset about something else, e.g. a personal matter outside of sumo, that caused him to agitated that day.
