Doitsuyama Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 The two Japanese lead makushita suffered losses against Chinese Nakanokuni and Mongolian Shironoryu, bringing the latter two in a good position for a juryo debut next basho. Fujiazuma (the former Shibuya) won against Satsumahibiki to stay undefeated. Czech Takanoyama got his first win, beating Maeta, who seems to be overmatched in the promotion zone. The other leaders at 3-0 are Takateru (the makushita tsukedashi Shimoda who started with a 7-0), Mongolian Takanoiwa and 25 years old Araumago who now already has as many wins in this basho as in his former two makushita basho combined. Pippooshu Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) Takanoyama has won! Finallly! We can hope to a promotion, now. This win can break the psicological stop of czek rikishi! Edited July 15, 2010 by Pippooshu

Takanohana, I think. You know who I'm rooting for to go 7-0? Takateru. He's a bit low at Ms22e, but with so many free spots, maybe there's some karmic justice available for the one guy who didn't get to juryo with a zensho inside Ms15 all these years ago... Only me and one other cheered for Daniel! Zannen... he actually asked me when he called tonight.. "did you cheer for Kyokushuho?" (Shaking head...) (Shaking head...) (Shaking head...) how could he think that? He said "I thought it was strange I could see Bulgarian flag but I could only hear Kyokushuho... (Shaking head...)
Kotoviki Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Ms13w Kyokushuho (2-1) yorikiri Ms15w Aoiyama (1-2) Wasn't he supposed to go 7-0 and get promoted? Who's fault is this? Actually HE said he's going to get 7-0 after his crappy result last basho! I personally think he's up against more skilled rikishi now and he's got to stick around some time in Makushita to learn something. HE says he doesn't feel power at the tachiai and it has nothing to do with the competition. As much as I want him to succeed I think that just because he's big and people expect things of him he may just need more "on the job" experience!!
Harry Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Asaamami for sure lost a match when he saw our banner but I'm told he likes it now :-S

Harry, speaking of your Asaamami... yesterday I forgot his banner and he actually looked over to us maybe wondering where it was... But today I didn't forget it and had it out. After he won his match he stopped and bowed to us before he walked back!!! Choooo very sweet! I think he loves that embarassing banner now!!! :-S You did good Harry!!! By the way, I gave Kitazakura the banner we made as a present. He loves it!
