Due to the latest events, some rikishi will be absent for the coming tournament. Sakana and I wonder if we will maintain this basho or not ? For the fawlers who know rules, we'll have 5 absent rikishi of the middle class (14 rikishi by class) : Goeido, Toyonoshima, Miyabiyama, Toyohibiki and Wakakoyu.

Do you think we have to play, with just 9 choices and not 14 as usual, or do you think it will be better to cancel this tournament and come back in september ?

Fawlers, please tell us your choice before tomorrow same hour.

Would it be feasible to adjust the classes this one time? 13/16/13 would lead to 12/11/12 pickable rikishi, 12/18/12 to 11/13/11 picks.

Can't you reduce the groups to 12/12/12, or whatever the number of final participants is? I know we then have to wait until Friday as we still can not be 100% sure who all is suspended for this Basho.

If that is impossible I think it is better to cancel it.

It may be a very unique basho, but it will be strategically fun regardless.

Make an adjustment as you feel necessary, yet find a way to gambarize, similarly to the real basho.

Many thanks to all of you who posted an aswer and many apologizes not to have answered earlier. We finally decided to cancel the July tournament, for many reasons :

• some technical issues to modify the database, with the purpose to correct exceptionally the class sizes
  
• the imbalance of the 3 blocks due to the absent rikishis, in particular for the middle class
  
• the too much short time to make predictions (especially due to our incapacity to have a decision)
  
• my third child birth (Sign of approval...) and the impacts on a regular work at FAWL...
  

We are very sorry for those of you who want to play, see you in september.
