Jejima Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Day 3 - a teeny-tiny wager on Tochinoshin please :-)
Asashosakari Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) The two Koto Ozekis would normally be due to meet all eligible rikishi down to M5W Hakuba... Is there a fourth Sadogatake rikishi I don't know about? :-) (Or perhaps I'm not the only one to expect a Harumafuji withdrawal...) Either way, my best explanation for the weird day 2 schedule is that the nominal joi-jin is pretty same-stable heavy this time, with the Kotos, Haru/Ami, the Tochis and the Satos all present...after the meatgrinder disaster last time, perhaps they're planning to share around the extra bouts a bit more instead of dumping them all on Asasekiryu and Kitataiki (whom I had pegged as Kise's Day 2 opponent), and until those bouts need to be scheduled they're going to run a somewhat tighter 16-men tourney at the top. Total guess though. Edited May 9, 2010 by Asashosakari

Is there a fourth Sadogatake rikishi I don't know about? :-) (Going kyujo...) M5E Iwakiyama... (Whistling...) Edit: D'oh! Just recounted, as I found it hard to believe that Asashosakari would make such a mistake, and realised that I am wrong (In jonokuchi...) My apologies! :-) The Koto boys are only due to face all down to M4W Asasekiryu - in theory, at least! Edited May 9, 2010 by Jejima
