Asashoryu has an interesting first couple of days...

Tochinonada is interesting first up, but I dont think Takamisakari will trouble him too much

Who is Takamisakari? (Clapping wildly...) (Applauding...) (Laughing...)

Asashoryu    -- Takamisakari

They should offer bets on the odds a rikishi will get injured in a match. But if I were Asashoryu, I wouldn't overlook anyone, including Tochinonada on day 1.

Thanks! What in the world happened to the Nihon Sumo Kyokai english site??

The new site appears to be working now, although with a few little bugs that demonstrate insufficient testing.

I noticed that both Juryo and Makuuchi results pages had Makuuchi in the page title.

Also the rikishi pages all seemed to have a heading over the techniques section which had Asashoryu, rather than the rikishi's name. (Guess whose page they tested!)

The URL is this rather than the old one in case you didn't find it, but I thought it was a bit inept of them to put up a Japanese explanation of what had happened to their English site.

Thanks Naganoyama! Indeed I didn't find the new link. Let's hope they notice the bugs, which I'm sure they'll do.
