Sashohitowa Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Hello! Real life stuff has taken my focus recently, so I realized late that the Haru banzuke release means also time for score checkpoint and squad reinforcement for the Stable Development game. But better Late than Too Late - we still have more than 4 days if we want to make changes in our virtual heyas. Here is the updated list with the Hatsu lineups and Haru banzuke points. Please note that the basho-to-basho comparison compares the current scores (before any squad changes) to the same moment in Hatsu - means, here you will find the impact of the squad changes you eventually made before Hatsu + the impact of the banzuke position move of your deshi between Hatsu and Haru. And any update you make in your team now will be visible only in the Natsu results checkpoint. There is no change in the lead compared to previous basho. Flohru increased his lead over Oshirokita and both are now 79 vs 73 points. Crall is still third with 69 points, but Asashosakari closes the gap to the podium with 68. The most improving squad for the period is Gusoyama's: His Okinoumi brought him 4 points, Tosayutaka another two, but what made the difference was the healthy bunch of one-pointers on top of that. Our leader Flohru and Toratorii got +12 points. The top contributing rikishi are Okinoumi (his Makuuchi promotion brings 4 pts to his owners, Tokushinho's Juryo return equals 3, and Tosayutaka's career high rank -- another 2 points. The biggest hurt was caused by Shotenro's demotion (-4pts) and also couple of our late-joiners suffered from Myogiryu presence in their squad (-3 pts). Kamei and Isanokuni brought -2. On the darker side, liclic's unmanaged squad brings him -1 point loss, and Takanorappa keeps a net zero between basho score delta. Talking about positions - we don't have that big increases as we had last basho with Kameumi's first basho. Today the highest climbers are Gusoyama (from 10th to 5th position) and Toratorii (from 18th to 13th). Biggest drop is for Fay (from 14th to 21st) due to her only +2pts increase in that highly competitive area of our roster. Now what's ahead: You can post in this thread any desired squad changes. Or, if you prefer more confidential method, please send me your picks at alexandersimeonov at abv (dot) bg. (Added) Here are the players gaining tsukebito slot and geting 1 HJk slot (all for having Okinoumi): Holleshoryu Itachi Kameumi shimodahito Jejima Profomisakari Flohru Asashosakari Oshirokita (I'll have to expand the excel table again...) Gusoyama The following players have open spots from previous bashos: Bogdanyama Fuseigou Kasamatsuri Toratorii Itachi (2) The following players have intai-ed rikishi in their heya, which can be replaced with a HJk: Shimodahito (Watagawa) ilovetochinoshin (Wakaoki) Sashohitowa (Kawasaki) liclic - 3 - (Ozakiumi, Teraonami and Hanaoka) Bogdanyama - 2 -(Kunigami and Tatsuhibiki) Kasamatsuri (Tatsuhibiki) Takanorappa - 4 slots (Ozakiumi, Sanada, Kotonakai, Kameiyama) Holleshoryu (Tochihibiki) Players "owning" a banzuke-gai rikishi: yamaneko, Bunijiman, liclic, Kintamayama, Fuseigou, Fatakiyama, Kasamatsuri, Oshirokita and Toratorii have Aratoshi and Fatakiyama has Yamada as well. Of course, you can also replace any other member of your squad with a fresh HRJk, if you find it reasonable. Here is a copy/paste of Azumashida's last post with the rules and FAQs, only the links with the lists are updated: A reminder of the rules for those who would start now and those who don't remember everything: Stable Development Game: The Rules Form a virtual heya by selecting on the current banzuke: 1 rikishi whose highest career rank is in juryo (we'll call any such rikishi HRJ) 2 rikishi whose highest career rank is in makushita (HRms) 3 rikishi whose highest career rank is in sandanme (HRsd) 4 rikishi whose highest career rank is in jonidan (HRjd) 2 rikishi whose highest career rank is in jonokuchi (HRjk) FAQ1: Each player can select the rikishi they want from each category, there is no system in the game to prevent players from picking the same rikishi. FAQ2: If for some reason you would rather want to keep some of your slots open, it is possible, but be aware that in any basho after Hatsu 2009, each individual open slot will only give you the possibility to recruit one HRjk. In other words, keeping slots open will not give you any advantage. FAQ3: Any player can start or restart the game at any given time over the total period of five years. Then, for each basho: if you do nothing between the release of the new banzuke and the beginning of the corresponding basho (edit: deadline is shonichi 8am JST), you keep these same rikishi in your heya. However, when any new banzuke is released, and at any point between the release of the banzuke and the beginning of the basho (edit: i.e. shonichi 8am JST), there are the following exchange possibilities: - you can replace any one rikishi (or open slot) in your selection by one HRjk of your choice - you can replace any two rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one HRjd of your choice - you can replace any three rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one HRsd of your choice - you can replace any six rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one rikishi - of your choice, if there is any choice - who is makushita tsukedashi for this basho (mstd) - you can combine the above operations as you like (e.g. replace 3 of your rikishi with 1 HRjk and 1 HRjd, or replace 5 of your rikishi with 1 HRjd and 1 HRsd, etc.) FAQ4: These exchange possibilities are also valid for Hatsu 2009, i.e. you can change your initial selections before the beginning of the basho Edited March 11, 2010 by Sashohitowa
Sashohitowa Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Here is a link with the three inputs available so far.
Asashosakari Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 For completeness, could you list the players who earned a new slot via Okinoumi (and possibly others)? I almost forgot about mine if it hadn't been for other players' posts in the other thread...
Flohru Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I'll fill my open slot with Sasakiyama. Thanks for the update! (Showing respect...)

shimodahito Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 good day, i would like to put sasakiyama in my open slot... and replace my intai'd watagawa with saishin... thanks. -shimodahito
Oshirokita Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 okay, please fill my emptly slot with Sasakiyama and I will give up (temporarily) on Aratoshi and exchange him for Saishin
Sashohitowa Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 I am replacing the retired Kawasaki with Saishin in my squad. why isnt onami listed on my team? i thought i switched him in last basho? Well, in fact you asked if Aratoshi has retired, which was not the case. I asked explicitly if you still want the change, and since you didn't reply, I based the decision on the fact that the "if" condition was not fulfilled. http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?...st&p=181359
Holleshoryu Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 please replace seifu, tochihibiki and amakusa with sd37e kazafuzan ... and daikosei for the new slot ... thanks
Azumashida Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 please replace seifu, tochihibiki and amakusa with sd37e kazafuzan ... This can't work because Kazafuzan is HRMs. Please suggest some other changes before the beginning of the basho.

Vikanohara Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 No change needed, but still I'm going to make one : Aokishin OUT , Saishin IN

Jejima Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I'm going to pick a Mae-zumo rikishi as my addition. I would like Ryoya Tatsu 達綾哉 please. (If technically it is not allowed for this basho, I'll have him for next when he is Jonokuchi proper.)
Vikanohara Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Looks like I went for the wrong new guy. (Sigh...)
Vikanohara Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Saishin's clearly promosing, but Sasakiyama even more.
Flohru Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Saishin's clearly promosing, but Sasakiyama even more. You should be a little bit more patient, especially as this game is a long-term one. You may want to compare this career with that to see how quickly one initial loss can be forgotten...
Vikanohara Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Yes, I thought the same after having written it. Maybe he was unlucky to get beaten in the first place. And it'll all come down how they are going to evolve. But there sure seem to have been some promising new rikishi in Mae-Zumo in January.
Asashosakari Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) All that being said, my reading of the various previews was that Saishin probably overachieved a bit by reaching the semifinals at last year's high school championships, while Sasaki(yama) had actually won other tournaments before and if he hadn't run into subsequent tournament winner Nakade in the second round already the sky would have been the limit for him. Doesn't change the validity of Flohru's statement, of course. Some guys just take to the pro environment better than others, even absent the always-looming issue of injuries. Sakaizawa comes to mind as somebody who didn't really get much hype AFAIK and still blasted through the lower divisions, though admittedly his entry pre-dates the wall-to-wall shindeshi coverage we do now.
