The last Aki Day 15 TORCH MATCH, causing the torch to drop to Makushita ranks, has really put a damper on any participants' attempts to rack up some points in the final basho of the 2010 TORCHBEARER contest. This will likely keep the end-of-year bonus points low as well, and gives leader, Gusoyama, a clear advantage.

What a crazy finish as the TORCH ended up in the playoff matches, and Konrad made the most of it as his rikishi pick won the yusho and holds the final TORCH position. 2008 co-champs Terarno and Jejima were pointless, but 2009 champ, Profomisakari, was in the running since the start of Aki basho.
