Profomisakari Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 The game is back. All results are correct published and the email service works correct. I don't know who this made, but I guess Bob is back. Who ever this was, many thanks! Profomisakari.
Profomisakari Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 It's long ago the basho is over and it's time to report here about the most important results. Detailed information included some comments from me and other players you can find at the game site http://maegashira.sumogames.com/Results.aspx. But let me anounce the most important results: The great winner of the game these basho is Wamahada with excellent 279 points. At the next places we find Doitsuyama with 229 and Gernobono with 220 points. The Shukun Sho for the best daily result and the Kanto Sho for the best five day streak too won Wamahada. Doitsuyama and Gernobono got the shared Gino Sho with all possible tiebreakers equal. Last three days we had some trouble with the results and torikumi grabbing of the server and Kofujis absence. But we had Golinohana and Doitsuyama , who worked as "human data grabbers" and made possible to play the game for all players not only for our game, but for all sumogames server based games. I could some help with daily results listings, so we had some frust, but could make the game. And as Bob came back it was all good again. Let me say, it's a great realization of Kana-sans old game and we will have much fun with this game next bashos Let us wait a few days, then I think we can publlish the new banzuke. I'm in a good hope to have much fun with the game next bashos. You all are invited to participate in KyuShu Basho 2009. Profomisakari
Kofuji Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Maegashira Game daily comments can now be edited and deleted online by the person that made them. I'm not sure why some of the duplicates are showing up as for some the timestamps are hours apart. Others, I suspect double clicking is doing it.
Kofuji Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The converted W-L records for the basho have now replaced "Applied" on the banzuke ... It looks like Doitsuyama has fallen just short of the requirement for immediate promotion to Ozeki and will need a kachikoshi next basho to qualify. Just a reminder that it seems you need to use IE or Firefox to submit daily comments. Chrome doesn't seem to recognize the text input area. I see Profomisikari has gone through and eliminated his duplicates ...
Profomisakari Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 I see Profomisikari has gone through and eliminated his duplicates ... .. and edited some mistakes from other posted comments. Thanks for the new possibilities! Profo
Chisaiyama Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Maegashira Game daily comments can now be edited and deleted online by the person that made them. I'm not sure why some of the duplicates are showing up as for some the timestamps are hours apart. Others, I suspect double clicking is doing it. I'm using IE8 but I didn't see any place to put comments. Are you talking about on the daily entry form?
Kofuji Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I'm using IE8 but I didn't see any place to put comments. Are you talking about on the daily entry form? The only place to put comments at the moment is for the daily results. If you are logged in, you can add a comment to the daily results. Profomisikari has added commentary every day and several others have commented on specific days. I'm not sure if it would be worthwhile allowing daily comments with each entry, but if there was a consensus that that would be worthwhile doing and add a level of enjoyment to the game, it could be done. As an aside, I've cleaned up a couple of things ... The daily totals now appear on the basho page in addition to the running totals for each player so you can see who entered each day and what their score was. The selection stats now exclude bouts where the rikishi is fighting a non-maegashira opponent so there is a - instead of a 0. I've also brightened the font of the winners stats so that they are easier to see. For instance you can see at a glance it was bad to pick against Kakaryu this past basho as he defeated all of his maegashira opponents.
Kofuji Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I've changed the comment editor to use CKEdit which is much more fully featured and customizable but more importantly seems to work in any browser. I'll be adding their international support which gives tool tips in another languages and tweaking the toolbars.
