I'm finally catching up with my spreadsheet to figure out the Special Prizes when the basho finishes. I have one discrepancy with the 'official' standings - I couldn't find the win for Kofuji with Asashoryu on Day 8. Kofuji (or anyone else for that matter), could you please refer me to the post where the pick was made.

I'm not sure what happened there ... I could swear I posted it ... I do my picks in the morning here to ensure I don't miss, but there is a chance that after I stuck Asashoryu in the spreadsheet as I had him the day before, I forgot to post it again.

Three of us stuck with Day 11's aite, Kotoshogiku and so Maguroyama takes a two bout lead and is invited to make an early pick to start the day 12 bandwagon.

Day 12 - Kyokutenho

Entering now since I have to leave early in the morning to take my mother to visit my aunt and am not sure we'll be back before the day 12 torikumi is released.

All my nice theorizing once again blown away by the torikumi makers! Fine then I'll go with

Day 1112: Kyokutenho

There is a very good chance I'll be stuck in my 30 hour trip to the UK, and won't be able to enter for tomorrow, in which case, I'd like Kyokutenho for day 13 again please (unless he is the aite on day 12, in which case I'll take Kakuryu).

I'm tempted to stick with Baruto again but anyone will do...

Maybe Kise will face anyone he hasn't already....

this game is hard!!!

I will just go with Kyokutenho which means it will probably be Baruto! duh!

Wow Maguroyama - throwing down the gauntlet. Okay, I'll take the bait. Not that I have a lot of choice. If K'ryu is aite in a couple of hours, a well-deserved victory.

Day 12 - Kyokutenho

The torikumi makers cooperate with many of us and give Kisenosato Kyokutenho for Day 12. Ten white stars are handed out today. Maguroyama still leads but we now have three contestants only a win behind. Maguroyama is invited to start the Kakuryu bandwagon for the remainder of the basho, or pick some other rikishi for us.

I'm willing to start the ball rolling. Since they seem determined to use up the Sanyaku before getting to the big Estonian, I say:

Day 13: Kakuryu

I actually thought the all-sekiwake bout would be on day 14, but since I'm not sure who the remaining two opponents are,I'll repeat myself:

Day 13 - KAKURYU
