Yaochoyama Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 What happened to all of yesterday's Kyokutenho suitors? While others forsake you, I will stand by you! Day 7 - Kyokutenho
Jejima Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Day 7 - Kotoshogiku? (Clapping wildly...) (As good as any, and I don't think anyone else has picked him, so maybe gives me an edge?)
Jejima Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 I'm changing hotels, so don't know if I'll have Internet access or not.... So here is my list for day 8 onwards (not day 7, that pick is above). First remaining in the list of the following.... Asashoryu Hakuho Kyokutenho Kakuryu Hopefully that will be enough!
Kofuji Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 With Kisenosato getting his first Yokozuna bout of the basho, Profomisakari joins the lead group with three wins and is invited along with Yaochoyama and Maguraoyama to make early picks. I debated picking Hakuho but decided that the torikumi makers had been going against the grain enough that he might start with Asashoryu and they tricked those of us on the Asashoryu bandwagon. Yaochoyama (O1E 3-4) O Sokkenaiyama (S1E 1-6) S Profomisakari (S1W 3-4) Jakusotsu (K1E 2-5) K Maguroyama (K1W 3-3-1) Oshirokita (M1E 2-5) M1 Kofuji (M1W 1-6) Jejima (M2E 2-5) M2 Harry (M2W 2-5) XiaoTan (M3E 2-5) M3 ilovetochinoshin (M3W 2-5) Holleshoryu (M4E 1-6) M4 Chisaiyama (M4W 1-6) Hidariashiyama (M5E 0-4-3) M5 Gernobono (M5W 1-6) Mae-zumo Ganzohnesushi (mz 0-4-3) Kisenosato's aites: 1. O1E Harumafuji, 2. O3E Chiyotaikai, 3. M3E Iwakiyama, 4. M1W Goeido, 5. O2E Kaio, 6. O2W Kotomitsuki, 7. YE Hakuho
Chisaiyama Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Probably not gonna happen but I'll go with: Day 8: Asashoryu
Kotoviki Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 They just want him to fight a yokozuna on the weekend! It is tempting to go with Asashoryu on Nakabi as well..... On the other hand.... may pair him with an Ozeki... I am going with Asashoryu for Nakabi unless I change my mind later.. but Harry & I may get in to Nagoya late.. anything could happen with the internet tonight!! Just for the record I am fed up with this game or rather the torikumi makers!!!
Profomisakari Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 For nakabi I wish him a bout against Asashoryu. Profomisakari
Sokkenaiyama Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Day 8 - Kotooshu. Of course, leave it to the NSK to throw in someone like Kyokutenho now.
Jakusotsu Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 And here I thought this game would get easier at Sekiwake... (Sign of approval...) Going with the flow: Day 8 - Asashoryu
Maguroyama Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Man, you people are fast! It's hard to do "early picks" when everyone throws themselves over next day's guess like a pack of hungry wolves! (Sign of approval...) Anyway, I'll go with ASASHORYU for day 8.
Kotoviki Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Hi! Here with Harry, he is making gigantic kanji banners for our boys... So I am entering for Harry.... Asashoryu as well!
Ganzohnesushi Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I'll join the Asashoryu bandwagon. Ganzohnesushi
Yaochoyama Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Day 8 - hopefully a seat or two remains on the Asashoryu bandwagon
Yaochoyama Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Day 9 (Provisional) - there's some chance I won't be online by the Day 9 deadline. So tentatively I'll go with Kotoshogiku for Day 9, but this might well be changed.
Jejima Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 We need to remember that Monday is a public holiday too, so there might be 'interesting' bouts lined up for that day too.... However, I'll go with Asashoryu too for day 8. (Showing respect...)
Chisaiyama Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Well the Torikumi Makers blessed us this time and Day 8 is Asashoryu! Whoopee I get another shiroboshi! How about Day 9: Kotooshu
Kofuji Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 As Chisaiyama has already reported, the Asashoryu bandwagon came in and we have 14 white stars to hand out today. Only Sokkeniyama and Hidariashiyama failed to get on the band wagon and get black stars. Yaochoyama, Profomisakari and Maguroyama are even and in the lead and therefore invited to make early picks as Yaochoyama has already done. Yaochoyama (O1E 4-4) O Sokkenaiyama (S1E 1-7) S Profomisakari (S1W 4-4) Jakusotsu (K1E 3-5) K Maguroyama (K1W 4-3-1) Oshirokita (M1E 3-5) M1 Kofuji (M1W 2-6) Jejima (M2E 3-5) M2 Harry (M2W 3-5) XiaoTan (M3E 3-5) M3 ilovetochinoshin (M3W 3-5) Holleshoryu (M4E 2-6) M4 Chisaiyama (M4W 2-6) Hidariashiyama (M5E 0-5-3) M5 Gernobono (M5W 2-6) Mae-zumo Ganzohnesushi (mz 1-4-3) Kisenosato's aites: 1. O1E Harumafuji, 2. O3E Chiyotaikai, 3. M3E Iwakiyama, 4. M1W Goeido, 5. O2E Kaio, 6. O2W Kotomitsuki, 7. YE Hakuho, 8. YW Asashoryu
Profomisakari Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) I would say for day 9: It's Kotooshu! Profomisakari Edited July 18, 2009 by Profomisakari
