Sokkenaiyama Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Day 3 - Aran (subject to change) Edit: no change, Aran it is. Edited May 10, 2009 by Sokkenaiyama
Jakusotsu Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 No clue what I'm doing here, so I just say Day 3 - Aran (In a state of confusion...)
Oshirokita Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 well, to keep on the same horse until he comes in: Day 4 Kotoshogiku
Jejima Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 On day 3, Kisenosato will meet M4W Aran, which some people predicted correctly. Sokkenaiyama is still undefeated (a record for this game, perhaps?), and so is invited to make an early day 3 pick. He has a whole host of players on his tail though.... Oshirokita (S1E 1-2) S Sokkenaiyama (S1W 3-0) Harry (K1E 2-1) K Yaochoyama (K1W 2-1) Holleshoryu (M1E 0-3) M1 Jejima (M1W 2-1) Maguroyama (M2E 2-1) M2 ilovetochinoshin (M2W 1-2) Profomisakari (M3E 1-2) M3 XiaoTan (M3W 2-1) Chisaiyama (M4E 0-1-2) M4 Kofuji (M4W 2-1) Jakusotsu (M5E 2-1) M5 Maezumo Hidariashiyama (mz 1-1-1) Kisenosato's aites: 1. M3W Toyonoshima, 2. M5E Tochinonada, 3. M4W Aran
Sokkenaiyama Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Day 4 - Kotoshogiku It's suspicious there's actual logic in the torikumi this time around. It seems about time for the torikumi makers to go out and do something completely weird and unexpected. I see Jezz is already acting on that assumption.
Hidariashiyama Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 So since I missed Day 3, I thought I would put in Day 4. Day 4 - Takekaze
Chisaiyama Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I don't believe I had Aran for day 3 and then 2nd guessed myself out of a win. This basho is not boding well for me in any of my games so far! Day 4 - Yoshikaze
Maguroyama Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I predict we're in for the first surprise of the basho - day 4 Chiyohakuho
Yaochoyama Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Nothing can hurt your chances in this game like leaving for vacation, and such is my fate this day (Shaking head...). My picks for Days 4 and 5: Day 4 - Kotoshogiku Day 5 - Yoshikaze, then Chiyohakuho I'm not sure if I can get access for Days 6 and 7, so I'd like to make provisional picks for those two days. If you don't hear from me, please give me the top available dog in this pecking order: Kotoshogiku Yoshikaze Chiyohakuho Baruto I should be fine from Day 8 on.
Jejima Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 On day 4, Kisenosato will meet M6W Chiyohakuho, which only Maguroyama predicted correctly. (Showing respect...) The Great Gruesome Sea Beast now joins Sokkenaiyama as a joint leader, so these two are invited to make an early day 5 pick. Oshirokita (S1E 1-3) S Sokkenaiyama (S1W 3-1) Harry (K1E 2-2) K Yaochoyama (K1W 2-2) Holleshoryu (M1E 0-4) M1 Jejima (M1W 2-2) Maguroyama (M2E 3-1) M2 ilovetochinoshin (M2W 1-2-1) Profomisakari (M3E 1-3) M3 XiaoTan (M3W 2-2) Chisaiyama (M4E 0-2-2) M4 Kofuji (M4W 2-2) Jakusotsu (M5E 2-2) M5 Maezumo Hidariashiyama (mz 1-2-1) Kisenosato's aites: 1. M3W Toyonoshima, 2. M5E Tochinonada, 3. M4W Aran, 4. 6W Chiyohakuho
Harry Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 My day 4 pick may have been a bit late so I'll keep it as day 5, Kotoshogiku
Kofuji Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) Day 5 ... my crystal ball said Yoshikaze was a better bet for day 5 but didn't give anything better for Day 4 ... Yoshikaze it is ... Edited May 12, 2009 by Kofuji
Chisaiyama Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I too will stick with my day 4 pick: Day 5 - Yoshikaze
