Kaikitsune Makoto Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) Can't remember this picture having been introduced yet here. Found it at Wikipedia at: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Wr...hicago_1907.jpg It is a picture of the rikishi that visited US in 1907. Yokozuna Hitachiyama is the biggest one, 4th from the right. Edited January 6, 2006 by Kaikitsune Makoto
SonofCyrus Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 I don't usually have a lot to share on here, but I thought I would share this picture. I took it on Monday during keiko at the Sadogatake-beya. Most of my pictures didn't turn out well, but there is just something I really like about this picture.

SonofCyrus Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 (edited) by the way thats you in the avatar i persume? which heya were you in and.....umm...why were you wearing pants (jeans?) on the dohyo (In a state of confusion...) That is me in my avatar. The picture was taken at the Sumo Fan Appreciation Day back in December at the Kokugikan. I wasn't going to wrestle at first but then they said I didn't have to wear a mawashi. It would not be a pretty site if I wore one. BTW that was Shibuya I was against. Here is the full picture: Is that Osh-Kotoshougiku? Correct. Osh on the right and Giku on the left. Edited February 20, 2006 by SonofCyrus
Kaiomitsuki Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Konishiki from SportsIllustrated (May 1992) enjoy :-)
Cammy Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Were you able to move Shibuya any? You are only a little bit smaller than him :-)
SonofCyrus Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Were you able to move Shibuya any? You are only a little bit smaller than him (Laughing...) I did move him. Let me rephrase that. He LET me move him. I weigh a little over 100lbs. I can move people that are around 190lbs to 220lbs. But 370lbs is a little too much for me. (No, no, no...) It was all in fun though. He could have tossed me around like nothing if he wanted too.

eciq Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place to post it, but I'm sure all sumo fans will love these links. I use to (I guess most of You too) to sumosurf a lot during bashos. Today I came across a webpage with great really HIGH quality sumo pics. Including Asashoryu down to guys like Takanoyama. Pics of the skinny fellow from pilznerland are just too good. Real piece of art. Enjoy (Yucky...) sincerely eciq Takanoyamas fighting face http://quinlanfaris.com/gallery/main.php?g...m&g2_itemId=296 Main galery http://quinlanfaris.com/gallery/main.php?g...em&g2_itemId=72
