Fay Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Something new in the sumo-webpaper. An interview with former makushita Kyokutenzan from Oshima Beya. And to make it a bit more interactive ... if there are some more questions you would like to ask, please tell us in this thread or by pm and Tenzan will answer them. Just give us a bit time. And here is the link: Interview with Kyokutenzan
Kintamayama Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Something new in the sumo-webpaper. Is he in Berlin?
Fay Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Something new in the sumo-webpaper. Is he in Berlin? Yes he is.
Kotoviki Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I've just read it! Fabulous Fay! Thanks so much!!!! (Shaking head...) ;-) :-(
Chiyomaru Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 It was very interesting to read! (Shaking head...)
Asashosakari Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Nice interview Fay, even if you obviously don't know how to do these things. :-) (Relax, everybody else, it's a joke.) He better attend (as guest I mean, not actively) next year's amateur tournament in Berlin if they're staging another one!
Umigame Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Great interview! Thank you for posting this! :-) One question: in the 5th photo, the black & white one, who is the rikishi on the left? I believe the others are Kyokushuzan, Kyokutenho, and Kyokutenzan himself.
Jakusotsu Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 One question: in the 5th photo, the black & white one, who is the rikishi on the left? I'd say Kyokudozan.
Manekineko Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Thank you so much! Great and frank interview... Please give my :-) to Tenzan next time you see him. And good luck to him in promoting sumo in Germany - if one of German commercial TV stations would start transmitting bashos, that would be (Shaking head...) And of course, many many many thanks to you for all you do. :-)
Murakami Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Great many thanks, Fay. What the hell is he doing in Berlin? Please, ask him that.
Asafan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Great many thanks, Fay. What the hell is he doing in Berlin? Please, ask him that. great interview, Fay, thank you so much. (I am not worthy...) I wish him a very happy after-sumo life in Berlin (or wherever)
Doitsuyama Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Great many thanks, Fay. What the hell is he doing in Berlin? Please, ask him that. Nothing wrong with living in Berlin. It's a nice city I have heard...
Odoriou Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 It's a nice city I have heard... I think I read somewhere that his house-cleaning company was in Berlin-Tempelhof, which is not exactly the most glamorous part of the city. (I am not worthy...)
Doitsuyama Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 It's a nice city I have heard... I think I read somewhere that his house-cleaning company was in Berlin-Tempelhof, which is not exactly the most glamorous part of the city. (In jonokuchi...) Well, Tempelhof can't be THAT bad considering the mayor is living there with his husband - there certainly are worse places. And not being glamorous can only be good for a house-cleaning company no? Sorry for being somewhat (I am not worthy...)
Umigame Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 One question: in the 5th photo, the black & white one, who is the rikishi on the left? I'd say Kyokudozan. Thank you thank you.
Naganoyama Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Thank you very much for the interview and the pictures. Very nice...
Jokkamura Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 @Fay: Please tell him, that he seriously should try to force Kyokai to bring back Sumo broadcastings (Shaking head...) to Germany and Europe. He is our last hope. :-S
Murakami Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Gay mayor of Berlin has his own thread now. At first, I was like "what the..". Your sentence can be read in many ways.
