Vikanohara Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Sorry to my co-leader, but I have the same guy in mind : sd4e Tokitsukasa

Randomitsuki Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Here is the scoreboard for Nagoya Basho: Uh oh, that's what happens if you do not check for kyujo rikishi. higginbotham and Profomisakari gave away their good position in the standings by picking Wakaryoma. Odoriou seems to have forgotten that he participates in two waves, and while he made his pick for 2nd Wave, he forgot his pick in our most recent edition. Tamanaogijima and Vikanohara have both left Makushita to pick the same guy. We don't have the huge bandwagons anymore, so the 4th Wave starts to get interesting now. Odoriou Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Odoriou seems to have forgotten that he participates in two waves, ... Nope, I just didn't find a promising rikishi ranked at Sd30-Sd40. :-( And before I burn another joker, I rather stay where I am and hope for better options next basho. (Nodding yes...) Nevertheless... good luck to those who dared to pick. ;-)
Randomitsuki Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 Standings after day 6: Tamanaogijima and Vikanohara moved back into virtual Makushita. Behind these two it gets murky and interesting. I'd guess that Imumaru's and Asashosakari's Kenju still beats the brilliant Kotookuyama pick by Fujisan and Zenjimoto. Rank Shikona Surfs Position Standing 1. Tamanaogijima** Tokitsukasa sd4e 2-1 2. Sashohitowa Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Yeah... What a "clever" decision to use joker now... I didn't use it in the first rounds, to get a fast start, and therefore I surf at the bottom of the pack. But when I decide to play safe and use joker - they are 3-0/3-0........
Randomitsuki Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 Yeah... What a "clever" decision to use joker now... I didn't use it in the first rounds, to get a fast start, and therefore I surf at the bottom of the pack. But when I decide to play safe and use joker - they are 3-0/3-0........ In 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wave I tried to get a good position at the beginning by spending lots of jokers. It never worked out. In contrast, you should congratulate yourself for the excellent picks. I'd rather have two jokers going 3-0 (with one winning the yusho, and the other one finishing 6-1 :-D ) than have two jokers at 0-3. Happened pretty often already, but fortunately not to me.
Randomitsuki Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Standings after day 10: Now this wave has become really interesting as the leading duet went from 2-1 to 2-3. Right now at the top of virtual standings we have 15 players in the range of about 15 ranks. Golynohana, crall, and Ganzohnesushi lead the wave (at about sd10), followed by Doitsuyama (at about sd16), Imumaru/Asashosakari (sd18), Tamanaogijima/Vikanohara (sd19), and Fatakiyama (sd21). And then there is the sextet of players surfing with Homarefuji (currently at about sd 25). It's going to be an interesting finish. Rank Shikona Surfs Position Standing 1.
