Nanami Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Greetings All, I am very new to sumo. I was actually introduced to the sport by a national geographic special that aired in the US in January 2008. Afterwards, I was impressed and curious to learn more about sumo. I just missed the 1st basho of the year, then I learned about the Haru basho. To keep up with what was happening in the Haru basho, I read the comments on this site - a great way to learn the basics. The pictures, the translations and comments were great! (Showing respect...) This is a great site. After the Haru basho, I am officially hooked as a sumo fan. (Sign of approval...). I am going to figure out a way to get to a tournament or exhibition next. So far my favorites are only in the sanyaku (??), including, Asashoryu, Hakuho, Kotomitsuki, Kaio, and Ama. (Clapping wildly...) I am looking forward to the next basho! (Clapping wildly...)
