aderechelsea Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 except for Sakaizawa's and Futeno's does anyone know more interesting sumo-related youtube accounts? i could also add Nishinoshima's and arishin's that have some nice sumo vids. please add anything that could interest us here to have all the links in one place. We could have a similar topic like the one withthe pics. (On the banzuke...)

messi19 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 (edited) Well, adere, I only have found out about Sakaizawa and Futeno as well. But I guess I can promote the channel of toyasuko who adds some bouts during the basho usually including shikiri + some other stuff (including historic reviews). http://www.youtube.com/user/toyasuko Edited February 9, 2008 by messi19
Kaikitsune Makoto Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 http://youtube.com/user/aminimini Verry eggsallad!
aderechelsea Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 (edited) http://youtube.com/user/aminiminiVerry eggsallad! this is a treasure !!!! i love videos that show rikishi during everyday life. And i've always wondered what kind of bathing-suits the rikishi wear in order to avoid tanning lines (Showing respect...) (On the banzuke...) (Blushing...) and you just have to love Chiyotaikai's haircut Edited February 9, 2008 by aderechelsea
Kuroyama Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Not a Rikishi, but Demon Kogure has one too.edit: it was demonkogure77, but the accont doesn't exist anymore...sadly. It may not have been really DK. Sometimes people will create YouTube accounts under celebrity names to upload their copyrighted material, hoping to fool management into thinking it was legal. Someone did that a while ago with Penn & Teller and uploaded a bunch of their Bullshit! episodes. It wasn't really them, but the channel pages almost looked professionally done and included upcoming stage show dates, etc. Of course, since P&T don't own the copyright to that show, that wasn't something they'd really do anyway.

Very possible in that case. I found that guy in a Nanking discussion about a video as well...not Kogure's style.
kaiguma Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) I just ran across toyasuko who is apparently uploading very actively in the last 12 hours or so. Great content with an eye for bouts which may be interesting in slo-mo or repeat viewing. Take this one, for example. I haven't followed Kitataiki much at all and he didn't really stand out until I saw this compilation of his 1st 4 victories from Hatsu 2008. The first two are quite interesting. Day 1 maybe should have been a tori-naoshi, but I have so much respect for a gutsy leg-chop like this one while one is being thrown! Day 2 is so wacky to see Tochinoshin's Texas Two-step: pulled back in to be pushed out again (Welcome...) (seems Kitataiki thinks Tochinose has already stepped out, so he does him the favor of not ejecting the fellow, realizing a moment later that the bout is still on) Kakuryu schooling Kotomitsuki is already up there too, maybe just for Fay's drooling pleasure :-), from the arrival of Asashoryu straight through to the interview. edit: spoiler protection Edited March 10, 2008 by kaiguma
Zentoryu Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) edit: spoiler protection :'-( This ain't the mailing list. Well, originally, Ozumo discussions was supposed to be spoiler free. If you wanted to talk about an ongoing basho, you were only supposed to do it in Hon-basho talk. This allowed any person who didn't want to know the results to have a place to talk about sumo on the forum without worrying about running into any spoilers. Of course, hardly anybody really adheres to this anymore. Edited March 10, 2008 by Zentoryu
Fay Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Kakuryu schooling Kotomitsuki is already up there too, maybe just for Fay's drooling pleasure (Applauding...), from the arrival of Asashoryu straight through to the interview. Thank you Kaiguma, i would have missed it for sure I fear and I can't see the Kakuryu bout on Infosumo for some reason. I feel a bit sorry for Kotomitsuki, but I have to make my priorities :'-(.
kaiguma Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Well, originally, Ozumo discussions was supposed to be spoiler free. Of course, hardly anybody really adheres to this anymore. Not having been here at the start I was under the impression that was a rule that was dropped. Is it still officially active? I have no idea, but I try to do it anyway out of a sense of decency. I just hate spoilers unless they are in a thread that is obviously about basho results from the get go. In fact, even spoilers in thread titles for Honbasho Talk get my goat a bit but what can you do? (Clapping wildly...)
