Does somebody know the name of this man?

The picture is from 1975. He did a sumo scene infront of big audience in the movie "Flatfoot in Hongkong".

I'm quite sure he was professional at this time.

The face doesn't ring a bell. Of course all that means is I don't think he was in Makuuchi between 1975-1978.

I was trying to be clever and check the credits of the movie on the IMDB but no luck there. (Laughing...) Do you HAVE the movie? :) then maybe they list him at the end? (Nodding yes...)

Unfortunately he is not in the credits. That's why I'm reasearching... (Neener, neener...)

Yamata is the name of his role. I guess it's not his real "sumo name", too.

Maybe know somebody can identify him. It's possible, he was from Hong Kong...the movie is set there.

Maybe this video at least can clarify, whether this guy was a real sumo or only somebody, who acted as a sumo...I think that might be recognizable for people, who have enough background knowledge about Sumo...

Flatfoot in Hong Kong was an italian movie of 1975 with an old italian actor, Bud Spencer (real name: Carlo Pedersoli). The sumo sketch isn't so realistic b'cause the director (an italian, "Steno") images a dohyo and a sumo's location in Hong-Kong! With chinese wrestlers and not japanese people...it's a detective story but itsn't an exalted movie...and I don't think the sumo carachter was a real rikishi...
