Naganoyama Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Quote “If this title becomes my highest point, people will start calling me the ‘incompetent ozeki’ again,” Goeido said at a press conference after the final bout of the tournament. “I know I need to start anew.” He hasn't been reading this forum has he? 1

littlebutts Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 An article was posted on Vice Brazil today about Kaisei. It's in Portuguese, though, but Google Translate did an o.k. job. http://www.vice.com/pt_br/read/o-primeiro-brasileiro-na-elite-do-sumo-japones 3

Asashosakari Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Most recent Sumo ABC's: 44 on Kisenosato's promotion-clinching bout, 45 on the number of yokozuna and ozeki. (Incidentally, the archive is up-to-date again.) 3
ryafuji Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Anyone know what's happened to MB? His Japan Times column hasn't appeared since September.
Benevolance Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) Apparently, he's relocated to Taipei. (and there was much rejoicing) Edited February 28, 2017 by Benevolance To add 100% more Monty Python references 4

And they made GIFs from @Kintamayama's videos I really like this article.

The guy who wrote it has a lot of good articles on there; usually about MMA but occasionally branching out into other sports.

It was mentioned briefly in the news on day 16 of Haru, but it was largely ignored because it was a much better story that he pulled an unjustified henka on defenseless Kotoshogiku and that Kisenosato pulled off a heroic double win on senshuraku. It is also why he is now kyujo for the jungyo. Edited April 8, 2017 by Asojima 2
