A serious talk with me always helps, Kotoyamaguchi (edit: I can't get used to Kotomyozan somehow (Shaking head...) ) put a lot of energy in his fight today and ..... won!!!!! (Sign of approval...)

Kotomyozan's opponent today was Kainomiya, too strong and too good for him. He tried it all, didn't give up, but lost. Anyway, he still has two chances to make his KK.

I met Kotoyamaguchi this morning at the station, when he arrived for the Kokugikan. I told him that I will go to Onomatsu Beya and he should make his KK now.

As I came back from Onomatsu I met him again at the station (Ranting...) ... he told me he had lost (Yucky...). Well one more chance for him, I try not to miss it this time ...

I'm a little depressed, cause Kotomyozan couldn't make his last win, although he tried his very best.

Well, we will not give up, our new aim is now Sandanme division next year. :-)

Well my persistence adoptee started with a loss but then a win and tomorrow he has to fight against Ichifuji. The statistics says he never lost to him ... and statistics never lie. So I'm very confident he will be 2-1 tomorrow ;-)

Kotomyozan is 1-2, nothing lost yet.

Kotomyozan did the attack today, he looked like the winner, but there was a MonoII and his foot was out first ... 1 - 3 :-(

My very special adoptee Kotomyozan could finish the basho with a 5-2 record (Neener, neener...) , so we start a new attempt for Sandanme at the end of the year (On the banzuke...)

Met him on the street by accident an hour before, happy and motivated for the Haru Basho :-D

Thank you for this interesting thread, Fay. I have to say I admire these rikishi who with 99% certainty won't become sekitori, but still keep going down in jonokuchi/jonidan/sandanme. Another one of those things that makes sumo so interesting.

Kotomyozan made it to e jd 82 on the banzuke, but he started with a loss today :-). Ganbareeeeee!

Kotomyozan had his first win today, unfortunately against Sadanosho (In a state of confusion...).

Myozan is now 1-1.

On position Jd 104 Kotomyozan couldn't get a KK this time again. I'm slowly starting to become a little desperate (Sign of disapproval...). Nothing helps, chocolate motivation, talking to him, yelling for him - a 2-5 as a result.

He seems to be perfectly content to help Kotoshogiku as a tsukebito.

But sometimes it just takes a little longer, Onomatsu Oyakata said, one of the most important things in sumo is to learn patience ...

My one and only Kotomyozan was quite lucky to stay in the Jonidan division.

He is now Jd124w and will get his KK for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Kotomyozan could achieve a kachi koshi today (Jumping in ecstasy...) (Neener, neener...) (Yusho winner...) Well, he couldn't fall much deeper, but anyway, this gives us hope for the upcoming basho (In love...)

琴明山, Kotomyozan could finish with another win and is 5-2 (First prize...) . Well done, I'm happy for him, although we will have a hard time at Aki Basho :-) .
