[Asojima]

Welcome (back) to the 21 game. Takemueda who created and hosted this game for a long time has decided to turn over the handling of the game to others. A committee consisting of Asojima, Holleshoryu and Profomisakari will administer the game. Hopefully, we can handle it as well as he did. Some details remain to be worked out.

The game is a simple pre-basho game in which you will be given 21 potential matchups that may occur in the next basho. Your job is to decide whether each match will occur, and , if so, who will win it.

Each of the 42 makuuchi rikishi will be found in one and only one match. The matchups are selected on the basis of closeness in rank and the closeness in win-loss records. The intent is to select 21 of the least predictable matches. The ideal match would be two rikishi at the same rank with identical win-loss records against each other.

I think so. The goal is to always have the potential for 21 correct answers. In the past, these were not counted and some bashos only had 19 or 20 matches that were counted.

One small remark:

Takamueda as gyoji of the game 21 has never played the game for himself.

We think that the gyoji in this game has no profit and also it should be possible for us to participate as player.
