Gusoyama Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 Hmm, I wonder what will happen with the following situation: Hakuho loses 2 out of his first 4, but then goes on to a 13-2 finish and a J-Y, including a win over Asashoryu(his only loss) Promotion, no promotion?
kaiguma Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Hmm, I wonder what will happen with the following situation:Hakuho loses 2 out of his first 4, but then goes on to a 13-2 finish and a J-Y, including a win over Asashoryu(his only loss) Promotion, no promotion? Methinks we've seen that scenario before: No dice! If he loses 2 of his first 4, he'll have to stay in the yusho race until the last day. In your example, Asa clinches on day 14, just like last time.
Bishonohana Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Apparently, I'm with the majority. He will not win Yusho, ending with 13/2, but will be promoted to Yokozuna .
Bealzbob Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 If he gets thru the fist few bouts then (Yusho winner...) B-) 15-0... odds are against but I'd stick to it. and you were right :-)
aderechelsea Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 i am very happy when i am wrong this way .... :-) zensho yusho ... i would never have dreamed of something like that.
sekihiryu Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) I dont think he will do it - He will choke like Greg Norman like he did last time. Yummy humble pie (Zabuton flying...) (Showing respect...) never tasted so good, he did the opposite of Greg Norman he was Tiger Woods out there. *p.s. for those wondering Greg Norman was a golfer in the '90s notorious for choking badly in the final round and blowing a big lead like a 6 stroke lead going into the final round in the 96 Masters that turned into a 5 stroke defeat - a massive meltdown. Sono! nice work brother! picked that one like a dirty nose! Edited May 28, 2007 by sekihiryu
