good day all,

on day 8 there were 10 rikishi tied for the lead. is this a nakabi record?

I don't know the answer, but wanted to congratulate you on asking a statistics question that no one has answered yet... I haven't seen it happen on this forum, so it's a momentous occassion of sorts (In a state of confusion...)

yeah...i'm a bit shocked no one answered. maybe they are still researching. personally, i think there may have been more than 10.....but i bet 10 is the highest without an ozeki or yokozuna's name in the mix.

i'd still like to know.....so i'll wait. have the sumo stat gurus really been stumped????
