Gacktoh Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I like Musashimaru-oyakata as a commentator. I also like Hiro Morita , but he is too Majime. Anyway I found these two in Utube. Musashimaru and Musouyama were on TV in 1994. These two are parts of the program. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbankhASnIU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQOflnZCMWE I've watched this in 1994, but I have not recorded it. Thanks for Utube.
aderechelsea Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 POW !!!!! i haven't seen before that bout of Musashimaru being knocked out .... or that "Buyuzan Special" from Musoyama . Great stuff !!!!! (now if someone knows how to turn flash videos into mpeg, i would be very happy)
Kintamayama Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 In the second clip they are asked: If there are homosexuals in Sumo. If they can use toilet seats on a plane. If they have ever cried.
Bishonohana Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Pretty funny stuff... :-P Thanks for the link!! (Neener, neener...)
Hashira Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 very interesting interview, thanks for the find I was very interested to learn about the raising of the ol' bat & balls in the mawashi, never realized that they would do it that way, as well the question about the keigo was interesting, and was something I've always wondered about with rikishi within a heya constantly trading positions anyone have any guess as to who it was that "is said to swing the other way"?
Gacktoh Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 anyone have any guess as to who it was that "is said to swing the other way"? I have no ideas..... I wanted to know who it was, too. Anybody? This video does not show till the end of the program, but the last part was very interesting. Musouyama let Musashimaru go first (let Musouyama pass in front of him), and after that Musouyama follwed Musashimaru. I was so impressed. At that time, Musashimaru was already Ozeki. so Musouyama let him go first. That's banzuke.
ilovesumo Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) Jewels! Thanks! (Sigh...) I could (Sign of approval...) cause she says that Musoyama's skin is so soft after the kiss..... and never forget- not on the nose !!! (Censored...) Just have to notice that I do understand quiet a lot of what they say after being in Japan for 4 month....cool ;-) Edited January 17, 2007 by ilovesumo
Gacktoh Posted January 20, 2007 Author Posted January 20, 2007 Jewels! Thanks! :-PI could (Laughing...) cause she says that Musoyama's skin is so soft after the kiss..... and never forget- not on the nose !!! (Showing respect...) Just have to notice that I do understand quiet a lot of what they say after being in Japan for 4 month....cool :-) Musouyama was 22 year old at that time. He was kawaii!! If you can understand what they are talking, that's great, because two MC are from Kansai-area. They use Kansai-ben. It means that you are able to understand Kansai-ben as well. (In a state of confusion...)
Gacktoh Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 ほんまに?。あの人は日本語上手になる。それでも関西弁分からへんと思う。(Holiday feeling...) ほんまや。絶対うまくなると思うでぇ~。 関西弁きっとわかってはると思う。 I am not good at Kansai-ben. I am from Nagoya....
athelitextreme Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I was very interested to learn about the raising of the ol' bat & balls in the mawashi, never realized that they would do it that way.... I truly apologize for reviving an old topic but I don't know how else to have my inquiry answered. I've tried amateur Sumo & I'm curious to know what is the "raising of the ol' bat & balls in the mawashi"? Sincere thanks for anyone who'll take a moment to respond.
