Doitsuyama Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Day 15 bouts are up. All playoff bouts are included. A big thanks to Sekihiryu here, he did a huge job. (First prize...)
Kintamayama Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I salute Mr. Sekihiryu and Mr. Doitsuyama for their awesome work. I know this takes a whole lot of time and effort. The quality is unbelievable, but more than that, the importance of bringing us these bouts (which otherwise we would have no chance of ever dreaming of seeing) is paramount and columbia. We need a saluting icon urgently.. (First prize...) (First prize...) (First prize...) (First prize...)

Hakuyobaku Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 At the end of the Amuru-Yotsuguruma video, there's an interesting video shoot - Amuru is walking down the hanamichi and is congratulated for a win by Tochinoshin and they have a short (maybe long) chat. (The video ends at some point). An interesting insight. By the way, can this be frowned upon by certain oyakata? Or anyone else for that matter.

I was waiting for a comment about that, I deliberately included that extra footage as I thought it was interesting. I guess the two of them are friends though I wonder which language they converse in as I believe most young Georgians dont speak the Russian Language (is that right Hakuyobaku?), Japanese perhaps? I was watching the video and saw Tochinoshins thighs appear in view as Amuru walked down the hanamichi, I thought to myself " I bet that Tochinoshin and sure enough it was - he has the hugest thighs - just massive. Gusoyama Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I'd also like to pitch in my thanks for all the extra footage, to everyone, this basho. It really has made the forum special.

Well many of them still speak Russian, though English is increasingly substituting Russian as a second learned language of the country. However, I am pretty sure they communicate in Russian. I am no lipreader, though, cant tell what exactly they say there. Edited January 22, 2007 by Hakuyobaku
aderechelsea Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 you guys made this basho one of the most (if not THE) enjoyable i can remember. infinite thanks from Greece.
Tikozan Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 (Clapping wildly...) Now the basho is over and I'm waiting for the next. (Showing respect...) Thanks to all who brought us the videos from the basho. (Annoyed...) It's nice to see the lower divisions. On German TV will only come any fights from the Makuuchi Division. And this 2 month later. (Shaking head...) (I am not worthy...) Thanks to the fans which brought us the newest videos... and see you next Basho (Clapping wildly...)
sekihiryu Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) Now, if I dont improve my Makushita game score by watching all the lower division action ( I watch many more that I dont have time to capture as I fast forward through all the footage) I dont think I ever will! p.s You are all welcome for the videos, I am glad they were appreciated.
