Afrozuna Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Needless to say the Yokozuna will go undefeated this basho. One must now wonder if it's Shoryu who is too good or the rest of the field is fast asleep. Hope Homasho repeats his wonderful Kyushu performance even though he lost to Ama today. They'll probably send him more Ozekis this time though. Roho was really no match for the Yokozuna. Let the Shoryu Reign continue! I'm all for good sumo and am looking forward to seeing Hakuho mount a serious challenge the Yokozuna. Tochiazuma looks to be in trouble already. I see the Japanese newspapers are already predicting an end to the Asashoryu Era. So impatient (Eh?)
kotooshu_bulgaria Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Loose what? Loosen his mawashi? I don't think so either...
maxim Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I think Asashoryu will lose two bouts this basho.
juujuuuujj Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I think Asashoryu will lose two bouts this basho. Man, I must be out of your mind! (I am not worthy...) (Clapping wildly...)
Asashosakari Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I never thought I'd say that, but boy does the current quality of Asashoryu cheerleading make me miss Jesinofuji...
Bishonohana Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 (Laughing...) We already know how great he is.... (Laughing...)

kaiguma Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Asashouryuu will תפסיקו לזיין את השכל Please fine sir, do tell. There are uneducated among us who must learn what exactly Asashoryu will.
SalParadise Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 It's Hebrew: Asashoryuu will stop fucking shoveling intelligence? I'm sure some nuance was lost in the translation.
Kintamayama Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 It's Hebrew:Asashoryuu will stop fucking shoveling intelligence? I'm sure some nuance was lost in the translation. Yes, the nuance was lost, but it's funny in any case.. And he will.
kaiguma Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Asashoryu will himself kill this thread. Ouch, that's gotta hurt.
Kintamayama Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Asashouryuu will תפסיקו לזיין את השכל Asashoryu will win 100 yusho? Asashoryu will evolve? Asashoryu will look like Kaiho? Asashoryu will be free to use in the public domain? Asashoryu will be on the grassy knoll? Possibly, on all counts.
Afrozuna Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 I love how some Japanese can not stand the fact that a Mongolian is the sole Yokozuna. Any talk of Shoryu maintaining his dominance is immediately suppressed by the Japanese forum members. I guess we should all jump into the Tochiazuma/Chiyotaikai/Kaio bandwagon (Neener, neener...)
aderechelsea Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 i wonder who you think is Japanese .... and believe me some of those "suppressors" are big Asashoryu fans

You won't make friends too fast by being ignorant to reality, at least not all the time. The fact is that of all the people who are having a little joke with this thread, to my knowledge none of us are Japanese :-P Just look at my profile - I'm from Brooklyn and my favorite Rikishi is Ama. My favorite Ozeki is Tochiazuma but I think it's far more likely that Hakuho becomes the next Yokozuna, and that will be just fine as long as he earns it. I'm sure he will. I don't think I'd call it any form of 'supression,' but what I'm reacitng to is bad cheerleading. If Asashoryu gets a zensho, fine. THat's impressive. But there are just too many variable out there that could keep it from happening, or he would have had 5 zensho last year, since you think the competition is just so horrible.

In case you haven't noticed I'm not out to be Mr Popular either so those who don't befriend me will simply not appear on my radar screen (perhaps best for them). A lot of people register in forums with fake names, adresses etcetera so you can't rely on the information they post. As for where you come from I couldn't give a rat's a$$ Edited January 8, 2007 by maegashira-yusho
aderechelsea Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 is it something in the water? i am quite close at being banned from this forum if i continue reading posts like that ... time to log off myself .... (Neener, neener...)
Asashosakari Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 As for where you come from I couldn't give a rat's a$$ A bit of a funny comment for somebody who seems to be really interested in pigeonholing other commenters as "Japanese people who have it in for poor widdle Asashoryu" no matter how hilariously wrong that is. Seems that you do give plenty of rat's asses as long as you believe it furthers your conspiracy theories. At any rate, do enjoy whatever time remains for you on the forum. Guys with as much of a chip on their shoulder as you always end up doing something that gets them banned eventually.
Zuikakuyama Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Well, I for one would like to say... HE LOST!!!
