Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hi friends, I have a problem. Actually the same as in the end of last basho. There are problems with the server which hosts the game scripts, and I simply can't get in contact with Kashunowaka who gave me the space to store these files. As a hopefully temporary solution, could somebody of you help me to run the games this basho? To give some space to run the scripts, I mean. It would be impossible for us to collect the entries and calculate results manually. Although I'm not really sure about the Banzai game, there are more files on the hakkeyoi server, and I can't access them, but at least the other three games could run. Thanks for any help or info in advance.
Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 Thanks a lot for the offers for hosting the scripts, unfortunately neither I nor the dear friends could set them up, so we decided to run two games only.

Doitsuyama Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I understand that Yoso is not run this basho. Wouldn't it be a good idea to take down the entry form then? It makes a rather current and functional impression, to me at least...
Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Bummer (Chucking salt...) Thanks for the warning. I was thinking about those players who may come to these forms from other pages than the index. But... (Shaking head...) Well, I have corrected them. Thanks again.
Golynohana Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 hmmm, I was able to enter picks for Banzai Kyushu Basho day 1... And I recieived a confirmation e-mail. The torikumi for day 1 was correct. Are you sure that Banzai won't work this basho?
Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Hmmm.... (Holiday feeling...) the problem is that although it seems to work nice, totally independently from us, we have absolutely no access to this page, and can't even delete it to avoid misunderstandings. this site started its own life. "no access" means also that we can't download your entries, either. We still can spend time with copying and pasting the entries from the confirmation mails into Excel in case of Kumi and Kongo (but for example Yoso has already too many data, and neither of us could take it manually), but Banzai is a daily game, and it would be impossible. I hope in your understanding.
Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) There are so few entries this time. (Holiday feeling...) 25 in Kumi and 13 in Kongo (if I counted well). Well, there will be one division this time only, I guess. Hopefully there will be everything all right in January again. The deadline is theoretically over, but those who still want to join (Holiday feeling...), welcome until 1800 CET. Edited November 11, 2006 by Nekonishiki Banji

Zentoryu Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) I appear to be missing as well, and I sent my Kumi entry via e-mail to the above listed address because I was having problems with the entry page. I also entered Kongo and am not listed there either. Edited November 11, 2006 by Zentoryu
Doitsuyama Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 I did enter as well. Maybe the low turnout has more reasons... Here are my confirmation mails just for the heck. It says "2006 Aki" but that's just due to your missing capability of accessing the server I guess. This is why I asked to forward the confirmation mails. Ah hell, I do hope I can find something out for January.

Zeokage Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) I just saw this thread while entering the other games. I'll send my confirmation e-mails and hope it's not too late. I did enter through the site last night though, and can send screenshots of the pages if need be. Just Kumi and Kongo, correct? If not I'll understand. Edited November 11, 2006 by Zeokage

Susanoo Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Since I received your reply about Kongo and Kumi on November 10, I was relieved, but when I often looked at it now, I realized that it is the thing of Aki Basho. Doitsuyama Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 See above for explanation why "2006 Aki" is on the confirmation. It's because the game automation for all Hungarian games in on the fritz.
Nekonishiki Banji Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 does it make any sense to post post the confirmation to both games here or to you by mail? Yes, of course, and I have already added you to the table.
Ganzohnesushi Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Hi, I also have received confirmation mails about my participation in both games. Unfortunately the very old PC of my spouse in Stuttgart does not allow access to my web.de mails. On Tuesday I'm back again in N
