  1. Other: Sentoryu! Followed closely by Asashoryu.

  5. Don't tell me a Sumotori can't take a punch! :-S
  6. Though obiously not sutible for professional Japanese Sumo I had some crazy ideas of Kesho-Mawashi designs... These are probably too far fetched but I just wanted to see how it would look. FLAMES Diamond Plate Zui Quan
  7. Great stuff, thanks! Lots of info links here at SumoForum for a novice like me.
  8. I threw together some quik snaps of what I was taking about... http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h127/Jes...nt=KisvsMiy.flv http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h127/Jes...nt=664411a4.flv http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h127/Jes...nt=ec733233.flv I belive that was what I was looking for. Thanks Hananotaka! I was very curious as to if it was an actual technique taught in Heya. I was so egear to start disscussing Ozumo I forgot all about that. Will do!
  9. lol
  10. Does anyone know if this American giant, Emanuel Yarbrough, has a personal web site?
  11. Fighting sprit my foot. To be honest I have never been an Ake fan but to continue training and get his butt whipped in compation and in sparring AND in front of his family takes courage and strength. I didn't think he could make it to a 2nd round against Frye but he did and I know Frye felt those punches Chad gave him before the gound fight. I obiously don't see Akebono as a Ultimate Fighting Champion. But to me, if he is willing to risk his name, reputaion, and Sumo honor to enter a field where Sumo has proven to be an unsecessful fighting skill in-itself... I'll call him a champion. (Showing respect...)
  12. Banzuke debut watch: I got my eye on the Jonokuchi West 16 from Mihogazeki. Doing a very good job. Onoshima Not doing bad either (Sign of approval)
  13. What is the name of the technique used at the Doyho edge where a Sumotori will plant his feet firmly behind his center of gravity aginst the rice bags and simultaneously arch his back? Does this maneuver have a name or is it just a natural defensive reaction that is not an actual technique?
  14. Has anyone any inside info on possible retirees entering the world of Mixed Martial Arts competition? As of right now my fighting dragon, Sentoryu, and Ake seem to be the only ones in the game so far.
  15. So far so good.
  16. We'er done with Day 8 and Chiyotaikai's first loss.
  17. I totaly agree. I did collegiate wrestling for 10 years and without proper care like massage, sports therapy, and nutrition I think I'd be crippled right now. I have been tuneing in for mainly Chiyotaikai this tourny.
  18. I love this Rikishi and all of Takasago. May he continue to do well. (A sekitori...)
  19. I know this is Sumo but... Dam that weas fast. (Bye, bye...)
  20. Day 7 and I hope he does well tonight. I would like to see him continue undefeated, we'll see. (Sign of approval)
  21. I'm making an early call, this one is his, I think.
  22. I'll have to watch a clear relpay tomorrow on BANZUKE.com
  23. Did anyone else appreciate the way Hakuho forced those 2 under-arm hooks against Kotoshogiku for the win tonight? He's a stud!
  24. My thoughts also... That was just awsome nodo-wa. (Doing a wave...)
