I just realised how WTK and Meisei winning their Senshuraku bouts would've blown the Banzuke up even more with Okinoumi and Kotoeko needing to be promoted heavily with 9-6s already.
I wonder if Ishizaki will adapt to the usual talk and behaviour or stay like that. Certainly seems to have some personality atleast, one could clearly see his emotions and he was overly hasty in retrieving his paper.
I like Wakatakakage's words. Seems he's listening to Wakanohana too.
I'm looking for the Photo of Shōdai clipping his nails whilst sitting with his legs wide open on the ground. Don't really know where to ask for such things and it's certainly not worth opening a thread but it's funny so it kinda fits here I guess.
Soooo...
Are we predicting who Waka predicts now or nah? :3
I'd say now he'll finally go with Teru. If he breaks the curse the Kyokai can't look past a Yokozuna Promotion.
IMO a Tsuna-Run strength (why is it called tsuna actually? I'm relatively new in fan areas) relies heavily on factors like wins, overall performance and strength of opponents. There's a reason there's no rule for a promotion and I think that's a good case. I will of course still rank this but with the premise that all of them are the same score (e.g. 13-2 with very strong Sumo, or 14-1 with weak Sumo by Yokozuna standards - as far as that's possible)
JY->Y
Y->JY
D->D (if losing both Yusho to Hakuho)
D->D = JY->D
D->JY
Losing in a Doten twice often looks like weak mentality. Getting promoted on a JY without a Y beforehand just looks awful to me lol.
This Basho is the first since Aki 2009 in which no Sekitori at his highest career rank has achieved a KK (and thus getting a new career high). Given that only 3 Sekitori were eligible and all of them at high Maegashira (Tobizaru, Hoshoryu and Hidenoumi) and going back in the database I found Banzuke with 20 new Career highs, that might've been a record already.
Yes most certainly. Ryuden, Midori, Aki and Akua are definitely going down and only Chiyonoo, Ura and Tokushoryu have made a strong promotion claim. They'll have to overpromote Yutakayama (or Ichiyamamoto but I'd guess Yutaka) already.
