  1. I think we were treated to some really good matches between Kak, Hakuho and Terunofuji. I can only imagine what it would look like if Harumafuji had to fight him as well!
  2. Hmm, Ozeki status maintained. I guess I'm a believer in the OBSC.....
  3. Neither did Aminishiki yesterday. These guys love and respect him for what he's done for the sport. Even Hakuho respects Kyokutenho. NHK interpreter said Hakuho had stopped practicing yesterday to watch Kyokutenho and shook his head when he lost.
  4. Wow! Tochinosin did not look happy to have to beat him!
  5. Why start out with Endo v. Amuru? They're having a pretty good run this July.
  6. I keep seeing this. What is OBSC?
  7. Looked really bad and he was very vocal with the pain right after. Seems like he just can't catch a break! no pun intended.
  8. They way I see it Hakuho's got to at least show everyone that he will use whatever technique he feels will win the fight. It's not like all he does is elbow. It's his obligation to trey to remain unpredictable and when the others think they have a pattern for getting to you is when you throw a curve and show them it might not be wise to go t=down that path.
  9. Yes, unfortunately. When he's on he's really fun to watch though. Is that a bad thing?
  10. Got to agree on Endo. I was there the first day and was amazed he walked out, despite what I saw on the report before. He looked horrible and I was just hoping he didn't hurt himself more. Whatever you think of him, he's popular and maybe in this day and age you need to look at how you manage some of the top guys that get seriously hurt? Very happy with Osunaarashi start. Didn't like the Hakuho/Ichi fight until I saw the replay from the other angle. From the back it looked like a henka maneuver. Teruno showing his power against Tochinosin, Although he's not looking his best this tournament. Was trying to watch the Canadian, but with him not being on the listing we didn't know when he'd be fighting. Hopefully when he gets on the official lists we can better guess and get to see him next Tokyo tournament.
  11. Confusing, at the end of video it tells us he quit. Did he go back? Doesn't look like him. yeah, it's him: http://sumodb.sumogames.de/Rikishi.aspx?r=8899 :) Thank you both. Good to see he decided to keep trying. One thing that bothered me about the video was they didn't show much of any technique training. I assume they just left most of that out or it comes later?
