  1. Really miss one of Takanoyama ! I've been waiting for this almost 10 years (Blushing...) and finally, when he arrives to sekitorihood, there's not even ONE photo of him with the banzuke? (On the banzuke...) Hope he has a bright Nagoya basho and shows (Whistling...) he's ready for a makuuchi spot. (Kensho parade...)
  2. Uhhh, dooh ! Forgot about it !!!
  3. What about shukun-sho for Harumafuji?
  4. Thank you very much for this table, it's now much more clear to me now ! Just one question:
  5. How can you wipe someone off something which doesn't even exist, even virtually?.. Especially in these times the Kyokai website could definitely be more up to snuff. Actually, on the Kyokai site's banzuke (there is one), they are both gone. Actually, on the Kyokai Japanese website, there are banzukes for all the categories (for example Makushita1), we need somebody to translate it! (Takanoyama at Ms2e !!!) (Sign of approval...)
  6. Sorry but I don't understand WHICH ceremonies he's going to miss, YDC or being a train stationmaster? (Band playing...)
  7. Mmmm, no spoilers within the first 24 hours please ! At least, not at the title !!! (Shaking head...)
  8. I am curious on this entry in your banzuke prognostication. When Kotooshu, Hakuho, and Kotomitsuki were shin Ozeki they all debuted at the lowest available WEST rank. In Kotooshu & Kotomitsuki's case O2W and in Hakuho's case at O3W. In all 3 situations they finished their Ozeki-toris with strong Jun-Yusho performances and in Kotomitsuki's and Hakuho's cases they finished their 2 preceeding basho with Jun-Yusho performances, yet they debuted at the WEST ranking. I am interested in why you believe Ama, sorry, Harumafuji will come in at the EAST spot? No other Yokozuna (filling the WEST SPOT) at THAT time?
  9. Ok, I HAD to download (GIF (256 colors) image with a granular aspect); expand to 2x; then pass a gaussian blur filter (3,0) and shrink again to 1920x1280 size. Hope you like the result. (click the image to render the original size's on a new window) AND
  10. (Jumping in ecstasy...)
  11. And this basho not only you find Juryo and Makuuchi, but also ALL the Makushita's "combats" (first tiem I've seen Kyokushuho fighting)
  12. Huahaha ! (Being unsure...) Are they NEW recruits for SUMO or maybe
  13. Centipiede in Japanese is mukade. 百足 is the kanji (which most Japanese don't know in my experience) and it too means 100 legs. ...and in English it's centipede. ;-) And in Spanish it's: CIENPIES (Almost the only word in which a "p" following a "n" doesn't obligue to turn this last letter into a "m") CIEN = One hundred = Centi- PIES = FEET = -pede
  14. Congratulations Fay, Kakuryu REALLY deserves that sansho. Only needs to train against sanyaku rikishis and ... Who knows ??? (Dohyo-iri...)
  15. Just wanna make public my thanks to Fay for this wonderful gift and ... I would also like to recall from the deepest of my memories, that the first tournament I saw on Eurosport (Aki Basho 2001), was won by a young promise ;-) , a former college yokozuna known in those university years as Tamiya, against all odds was able to defeat on the fourth day to Yokozuna Mushasimaru achieving its THIRD kinboshi, a young Asashoryu (M1w) in the Nakabi and ending with a magnificent result of 13-2 taking the Yusho and all the 3 Sanshos.
  16. Add me to your list, please!
  17. Sorry Mark for this "correction" but ... I can't stand it anymore. You're trying to "link" some URLs using the "wrong" TAG, you shouldn't be using the [ email ] TAG, but the "insert link" one which is the FIRST icon following the Smilies COMBO at the second line of the editor. With this editor, once you've used the "insert link" TAG, the line is shown as the following one, into the editor AND the forum. SFM
  18. Hi Washuyama, just wanna make you some remarks about your postings: I understand there's set a limit for attachments by user, mine is only 500K (which I consider quite ridiculous by now) and, as you can see, usually resizes the images to the extent to make them unreadable. So...
  19. Today, it's working now, at my work. Somehow late, but... I may be able to see Homasho vs Shogiku. I'm here with WMP 11 on Windows Vista Ultimate using the same ISP that my home's. Weird things happen, but today I've got the good old one. (Sign of approval...)
  20. The two GREAT JAPANESE HOPES against each other. With Doitsuyama permission (I hope): 28-4 (6 basho (Mae-sumo included)), 1 Yusho (Sandanme) 24-1 !!!!! (5 basho (Mae-sumo included)), 2 Yushos (1 jonidan, 1 Sandanme) It's the time one of them has to lose, in order the other keeps winning. My favorite is Tosa, 'cause I prefer small rikishis, but I'm also afraid the wall heating could be disastrous whenever he reaches his maximum level.
  21. Why is it that I can never connect until well after a data stream is reported here? It always works in plenty of time for the makuuchi dohyo-iri -- but right now, for example (15:25), when I try to connect I get about 20 seconds of what looks like the crowd starting to clear out immediately after yesterday's yumitori-shiki. I have certainly never been able to connect as early as anything in makushita. Sounds like you are going in via the NSK site. They don't activate the connection from that site until makuuchi time. Observe the data stream (old-new) link at the top of the Sumoforum diisplay. Clicking the New link will get you connected earlier. Same link but ours will get you there as soon as they start streaming. The NSK site gets you there when NSK decides to let you in. Actually I'M USING the "new" link of this forum to get the very same problem than Kuroyama !!! I'm trying to connect using VLC, MPC AND WMP v.11 to no aval. I even thought about a mysterious "PROXY CACHE" at my ISP doing bad its work but ... It seems the problem is at the other end (e.g. NSK or NHK)
  22. Just remembered this: Perhaps the injury is ... A lot more worrying than firstly thought (I am not worthy...)
  23. Why not only try to capture and post the resulting image?
  24. Oh PLEASE NISHI, take some photos of this UNIQUE piece of collection and post them here as you usually do !
