  1. Hello everyone! I'm still here, but I'm having a hard time keeping up. It seems to me that Kirishima and Oho have a good advantage since they finished the sanyaku.
  2. Thanks @Jejima - that was fun! Rooting for Atamifuji added an extra flavor to the basho for me.
  3. That was beautiful, in fact Okuritsuriotoshi
  4. Atamifuji wins!
  5. Kaisei comes out of nowhere and starts to use a new kimarite called "Brazilian Cool". However, he doesn't win the yusho.
  6. Indeed I am! Just coming back from kyujo! I'll gambarize!
  7. Hi everyone! We're here together for another basho! And we hope no one has to travel to Japan this time and that everyone records the videos properly (looking at @Kintamayama)
  8. From Maezumo to Juryo in ONE basho! Take THAT!
  9. Always that damn fish! Why why why I hate them so much.
  10. Oonosato's Yusho party
  11. Too much booze and karaoke the night before
  12. Takayasu never fails in let us down. Congrats, new Ozeki Oonosato! A really strong run - 34 (maybe 35) wins and 2 Yusho.
  13. The last time it ocurred was 2004: https://sumodb.sumogames.de/Query.aspx?show_form=0&form1_rank=Ms16&form1_wins=7&form1_ms=on&form2_rank=J
  14. Any youtube channel (or another streaming) to watch these last two days?
  15. Only 28y... he could take some basho off to try a Terunofuji-style return
  16. May I play? Count me in :D
  17. The GOAT, indeed
  18. On the English Wikipedia, they list Takarafuji as 990 and Tamawashi as 957, any clues?
  19. I just wanted to say that I completed 12 years on this forum (my 73rd basho being registered) and 79 following sumo altogether.
  20. I believe that Onosato’s chances of promotion in the next basho are extremely small, perhaps with a Yusho of 13-2 or better. Perhaps with a Jun-Yusho of 13+
  21. I have seen many basho with very poor sumo. I prefer two or three dominant rikishi, but presenting great sumo. We don’t have a strong and consistent Yokozuna since 2019? 2018? Five or six years? Since the beginning of Hakuho’s decline.
  22. 21 wins as Sekiwake in two bashos will be more than enough, I think, with consistent bouts
