Myoseki is?

Asashoryu will be in Italy, at Carrara, at the end of october with a special meeting of martial arts where he'll introduce the sumo. I will inform you better when I will know it better... (Sign of approval...)
-
Me too! (Applauding...) I would like to see him Sekitori. I think can be a very good spot for sumo, b'cause he has e good technic and a slim, curious figure.
-
What do you think about Asasekiryu's basho? I like him so much, not only now, b'cause he is very tecnical and keep on very well the dohyo but...he seems not so strong. He is not so heavy and not so strong...this could be his problem? (Sign of approval...)

Yesterday afternoon, as I was using the last day of the holiday to clear up the last room of bookshelves that fell over in the quake*, quite by chance I picked up an album with pictures of his first appearance at a Dewanoumi party. With ear-length hair he looked a real sweetie. *the oldest things at the back of the shelves were on top of the pile, so the clearing-up slowed down as I took trip after trip down memory lane. I was very happy to discover the whole of my shikishi collection undamaged apart from the odd nick on the gold edges (shikishi are the cards that have handprints and/or autographs on them). This only means that the thick cards themselves are very strong and they also fell together in one solid pile. The tissue paper they had been wrapped in, however, had been torn into shreds, and the several-page detailed printout of the whole list, that had been lying on the top, turned up underneath everything else, creased like a fan! Orion, sooo grateful that I was out at work when the quake happened :-) In God we trust... (Sign of approval...)

Today the korean Kasugao has visited Todoroki Stadium, in Kawasaki, with rikishi of the Kasugayama-Beya. He met the players of Kawasaki J1 team and he said he hasn't specific projects for the future. "After 13 years career, I wanna take a break only"...

I'm really really sad about this. I remember his makuuchi, long experience. Good luck, Futeno.

Yokozuna Hakuhou preparations-May un-basho
Pippooshu replied to Kintamayama's topic in Ozumo Discussions
I repeat what I've said above: Kakuryu in two years will be Ozeki. 5 or 6 kilos more and he'll be a great. -

Next promotion will be Kisenosato for Ozeki status and in two years I think Kakuryu will follow him. -
What about Gagamaru? Is he suspected again for yaocho?

The list comprises the 19 names listed below plus Chiyohakuho and Enatsukasa who were given 2 year suspensions but have handed in their retirement papers. Tokusegawa Hakuba Kouryuu Kasugaou Moukonami Kotokasuga Shimotori Masatsukasa Asoufuji Sakaizawa Wakatenrou Kyokunankai Toyozakura Kiyoseumi Hoshihikari Juumonjiy Kirinowaka Shirononami Yamamotoyama What's about Shotenro? Isn't there Kaiko or Jomei for him? (In a state of confusion...)

Another Futeno...

Flatfoot in Hong Kong was an italian movie of 1975 with an old italian actor, Bud Spencer (real name: Carlo Pedersoli). The sumo sketch isn't so realistic b'cause the director (an italian, "Steno") images a dohyo and a sumo's location in Hong-Kong! With chinese wrestlers and not japanese people...it's a detective story but itsn't an exalted movie...and I don't think the sumo carachter was a real rikishi...

Sumo without peace...and rikishi without intelligence...
-
I would like to see that! It's important, I think, to value the KK of the first 9 ranking rikishi. Maybe will be ms1 or ms 2 but not Sekitori b'cause there are Tamaasuka, Sagatsukasa, Masuraumi and maybe Arawashi and Kaonishiki before of him.
-
Can someone tell me what was his highest ranking he has reached in his career? :-)
-
Sometime ago I have read of an injury on his back, such to force to change him his sumo. But Kokkai was like a bison, like a very good guy for Tsuki/Oshi- zumo and not so much for Yori-zumo, I think... (Shaking head...)

Takanoyama subarashii!!! Another wonderful kimarite for the magic czech!
-
I've thought the same thing. I'm really sorry about his downfall. He started from M15 rank and will be Juryo with 6-9 Make-Koshi or less. He must win 4 bouts again...maybe too difficult for this Kokkai...
-
I'm very proud of the czech rikishi's win! I wanna hope Takanoyama don't surrender after his probable KK b'cause he must grow on the next Banzuke and try to move up in the Sekitori division!

Lower-division Torikumi Day 8 Hatsu Basho 2011
Pippooshu replied to Naganoyama's topic in Honbasho Talk
Takanoyama MUST win... -
It's very sad to see Futeno like ms 37! Anyway, I'm happy for the win of Masutoo...with a Kotenage!
-
Excuse me guys, The sponsor constracts are included? It's seem not so much mo' for famous rikishi! Please can you explain this?
-
Congratulations to him. This his better than a yusho!

I think Kisenosato and Kotoshogiku for Sekiwake status with Kakuryu and Tochiozan like Komusubi, but...there's one possibility about Toyonoshima become Komusubi also. I remember there were three Komusubi in the past. It's very rare but not impossible.
